Really with tight budget! The last thing in your mind is purchase a decent RM 2,000 to RM 3,000 new pc now when u are running low with moo-lah! I always keep my prized PC update with latest anti virus and old fashion DIY spring cleaning the dust off. So what your method to keep your pc safe and running this trying time hmm.gif

beware of static electric, always use proper tools when handling electronic components such as anti-static wrist strap nod.gif
(when u dig inside your PC lar)

get yourself a good surge protector as well

it's not just for lighting surge but protect from sudden electric surge that might damage pc component

one more thing, luv your PC like u luv ur GF!

u make it happy, it will make u happy oso laugh.gif

Give it a rest if when u are not using it,it can prolong ur pc's lifespan, beside that,it can save up ur electric bills for ur pc's maintainance cost when ur pc lag up since u wan to longer ur pc's lifespan!

1. keep ur motherboard power regulator transistor, capacitor and chipset cool

2. keep ur hardisk temp below 40c

3. if possible turn off paging files,or get secondary hardisk to fill the paging files to minimize the pimary hdd load...

4. always clean ur pc with brush or vaccum cleaner (with the power plug pluged-in at off state <switch off but pulgged in>) to remove the electrostatic when u touch the component (make sure u touch the metal part 1st before toucing other component).

5. make sure u don use the pimary hdd to keep the torrent temp file...

Use good surge protector for Modem/PC/Monitor

For me, the most important thing is to make sure your hardware is free of dust.

Don't On and off your pc frequently, it's better to let it ON rather then always switch it.

Once in a while, format your harddisk to make sure your OS is fresh and clean.
