You need a quadro GC laptop for engineering work. I have tried those 3d engineering software and  standard GC laptop cannot handle the task. It will keep on shutdown your program. Some my friend have this problem also. So they can do simple and not so heavy job only.
My recommend is DELL precision model laptop. ( I m using one)
