my budget for this laptop is about RM2200.i`ll spend another RM200-RM300 for the extended warranty.

my option:
1. at pcdepot ipoh,they sell Asus X50GL-AP160 = RM2199

Nvidia GeForce 8200MG - shared up to 895MB
15.4" Wide Screen WXGA LCD Screen

any suggestion? happy.gif

Here is my dua sen:-

Looks like you're planning to use for serious work, and the GeForce 8200MG is definitely not for you.

A good GPU optimized for OpenGL would be NVIDIA Quadro or ATI Fire GL.

Example lowyatguy sold XPS laptop because its GeForce 8600M GT GPU couldn’t handle the job.

The GeForce 8200 MG on the Asus is a Tier 3 GPU below the GeForce 8600M GT rolleyes.gif

Get bigger size or higher pixel count screen - 17" WUXGA or 17" WSXGA brows.gif

Your eyes will thank you blink.gif

Extended warranty, should you buy an extended warranty? IMHO and this is strictly me personal opinion, extended warranty is not worth the money.

Save the money for a new notebook because by the time your notebook breaks down it's time for a new laptop.

Manufacturers warranty should cover your losses for the immediate term. If a new laptop is going to break it will usually fail during the 1st year.
