my hb has applied for the loan and get 2.68% smile.gif will place booking once the loan is settled. SA told us earliest will get the car in May... if you want to get your car fast, try black as it seems to be a low demand colour..

hi invisiblelim

you can hear the sound when you accelerate your car right? is yours 2.0? my hb's car is only 1 day old and have the same sound! according to the SA it's a normal thing for civic even his civic has the same sound.

hb sent his car to SC this morning and they said they need 2 days to check... what la... never expect honda to have such a lousy quality! anyone else who own 2.0 having such "prob"?

mind share what's the prob and how it is being solved?

yes, that's the sound. i checked another forum and apparently it's cause by a metal plate that's located too near to the drive shaft. solution - sc move the metal plate slightly away from the drive shaft and it's solved. I'll post the link when am back to office on thursday.

you might want to send it to sc and ask them to check whether yours is the same prob. hb will be sending next mon and do the servicing together...

Been following this and I think my 2.0 also got some sound. Difficult to describe but like metal (kinda like a small bell tinkering except that it's only 2-3 times and then silent). It happens only during pressing the accelerator pedal (not hard, just normal press only) but not always can reproduce it. Sometimes only it happens which is why I am curious also how to show to the service centre. Don't tell me can't fix cos although it doesn't happen often, it annoys me very much when it does.

yeah agree, never expect this to happen to honda. i guess majority of the new 2.0 is having this prob only some dont notice it as it's not visible if you are those who loves to blast the player smile.gif i'm super sensitive to weird sound - thank god!

Will post the link when am back to work. the forum's very informative too wink.gif

Ok, thanks, very helpful. Please do post link if you can. Coincidentally, my service is due on Thu. Hopefully they can do something about it. Kinda disappointing to know that the QC is done so badly until so many cars affected.
