Dear sifus here, Im the new owner for civic FD1. Just collect car last 2 days. Pump full tank about RM88, after 2 days travelling, first half tank now go for about nearly 400km (70% highway, 30% city driving), is this normal?? For FD1, the fuel tank above is bigger or below is bigger? Beside, as for new car owner, any advises from all sifu what to do or what not to do?? Thx very very much..

QUOTE(hardforum @ Jan 21 2011, 09:42 AM) Need some time to let the engine run in. New engine consume more fuel which is normal no worries ! Thanks boss. Sometimes i feel the gear change abit weird.. Keep changing different gear, especially going uphill and pickup time.. Little while gear change and rpm reach 3k, then little while drop back to rpm 2k. QUOTE(gregy @ Jan 21 2011, 10:04 AM) ??? You mean your FD1 can achieve even better than 400km at the half tank mark? Impressive. Sifu gregy, This is my first full tank after collect car. I mean after i pump full tank, i archived nearly 400km for half tank, now still got half tank to go. Will calculate see my full tank will go for total how many KM. I suspect is it the top of first half fuel tank might be bigger?

QUOTE(Mavik @ Jan 21 2011, 10:57 AM) My older FD1 which at that time had a 45litre tank only manages about 500km on a full tank (this is at around 120,000km mileage). Hope this helps. Thanks very much for the info.

QUOTE(Revamperz @ Jan 25 2011, 02:34 AM) hi most problem found in fd's i think are 1. steering assembly/hose/rack - do try to turn the steering with engine on n notice if anything funny sounding repair cost for these are up to 1.2k 2. engine mounts - test drive it n take notice when start to drive got some kinda sound also. repair cost around 1k these prob are super popular on earlier up to 07 batch ( mine included DX ) dunno bout 08 but worth to check em out at 40k that car will need to undergo it 1st major service.. rm800+ at HSC I notice even my new car steering rack also got funny sound (eventhough not loud) when it turn more than 90 degrees. Is all this under warranty?? What is the actual problem actually? What need to repair?

QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Feb 12 2011, 03:49 AM) Nope unfortunately bro ADVAN... The MUGEN Pedal Set is sold differently, I just got mine at RM85. But it is real made from Japan, the alloy quality is real good... But the bad side is, the installation guide also in Japanese.. = = The footrest above comes at RM90... Quite expensive... There is another version of the footrest like above, which comes at RM80 but it is just a piece of alloy with MUGEN wording like above for you to stick on to stock footrest, so kinda not worth it when compared to the whole footrest above. FD2R footrest still the best... But RM155... So forget it... Ok. So the for japan made Mugen footrest that u mentioned above, will u bring in at RM90? Im interested to get one. As for installation, it is stick type or what? Thanks man.

I'm going to bring my own stuff for my next service.. 10k service next week gonna bring my own oil much much cheaper.. I thaught cannot bring own oil? Will it void warranty? If can then outside oil is much better than honda oil.
