u need a heatshield tongue.gif

for me as well;; after i change to the simota intake. the air filter is really close to the rad fan; n its sucking in hot air; really hot air especially in the noon; so i had a heatshield install for it.

lol; dont even tink about a auto vtec;

spoils the fun; make u feel OKU plus after awhile; when u plan to swap to manual; there's loads of things to settle.

EG ah? u pm simonsayz or reon lu tongue.gif

they did mention wts sometime back.

QUOTE(Andy0625 @ Apr 30 2009, 12:57 AM)
After going through youtube video clips on how vtec works and how it sounds like , now I know why everyone recommends to take Manual.

The roars from the Vtec definitely can get orgasm. wub.gif

Anyone letting go EG ?

yup; here's an example of the cover;
BIGGER VTEC smaller dohc = BIG VTEC
user posted image

for the big vtec; when it switches; its note is louder den the smaller vtec.

there's almost 10hp difference between the 2.

Other helpful identifications includes looking for a 'PGM-Fi' plate on top of the intake manifold. The 160ps B16A will have the PGM-Fi plate while the 170ps B16A will not.

u can refer to tis as well.

QUOTE(SimonsayZ @ May 1 2009, 05:19 PM)
You see the cam cover on the engine. If the VTEC word is bigger than the DOHC, then its big vtec. Opposite size its small vtec.

But this can be fooled since the cam cover can be changed. Unless you open up and measure the cams.  tongue.gif

well.. not too light until u strip the weight 500kg la sweat.gif

normally there's a wing (downforce) to keep ur car down ma sweat.gif

plus; most EF; EG; EK are stripped to the bones; the chassis; door; bumper; hood all swap with lighter material if not punched holes all over sweat.gif

i dont see them flying @ sepang laugh.gif

QUOTE(law1777 @ May 7 2009, 12:24 PM)
but bros u guys must understand.. the heavier ur car the more stable it is when driving at certain speed. if too light also like leaving the ground d..

hahaha.. true.. but i will never punch holes later aircond also remove d many wind coming in..

lol.. they dont exactly punch a see thru hole from outside to inside la. normally its striped naked with a roll cage; since the cage already supporting the main area of the chassis; they normally punch some holes near the pillars area. inside door panel.
