standard from honda will probably be 800-1000 for the front. then 600-800 for the rear.
can buy aftermarket adjustables already.
Why you need an adjustables absorber?can buy aftermarket adjustables already.

QUOTE(ozak @ Feb 28 2011, 01:28 PM) It is not about old model. fd or 8gen is a hot & famous civic. It is no suprise that thieft target at it. What type of security then? You are lucky that they don't target your car. Once you lost your car, you will know that no security can stop them from getting your car. Many people neglet the security of the car. Many reported that their cars were locked inside their house gate (in addition to car's own lock) and the car still get stolen. |

QUOTE(ahhoe80 @ Mar 7 2011, 11:27 AM) - lowered stance Just change it. I did change from the standard sissy wobbly softy suspension to an adjustable set. Much, much better. In corners, braking, overall comfort.- better handling - improved damping rates due to the adjustables - can adjust ur damping rate according to ur needs depending on the situation demands (town driving with family: soft, pekking at genting: hard) Anyone want to go for a track day when the time come? |

I just did my tires rotation yesterday, immediately I can hear some humming sound from my front tires, went back and ask the technician, they said it is normal due to the uneven tire tread and claimed that the sound will disappear in 2 days or 3. One week later and the sound still exist, I wonder is it the bearing or what. Does anyone here experienced this before?

QUOTE(ozak @ Mar 7 2011, 12:06 PM) Do you do that everytime you drive? Or depend your mood? If u are always on a town drive, just stick to the settings that u've did. Lets take GAB SS (Hi-lo Soft Hard) for example. There's about 30+ damping rates that u can set on it as its fully adjustable. And u dont have to go to the workshop just to do it. As the settings are all done at the engine bay. When its installed, the installer will teach u the various damping rate that u can set by demo it to u. And they usually set it at a middle so that u can self adjust according to ur needs since different people different reqs.Cause I don't see practical if daily normal driving with abide to the law. You don't do every conering with 100kmh right? And do you face problem with the hum? Which also allows the user to set it on a medium/soft on daily drive esp those family style but set it to hard when feel for a spirited drive over the weekend |

if u were to get adjustable hi-lo & soft/hard....u just need the workshop to set the height that ur comfortable with...
damping settings is definitely a trial and error thing...coz diff butt diff preferences... i have tein flex on my eg6 and for comfort...ill just set everything to the softest...surprisingly the handling even at softest is still pretty decent. but for spirited drive, im still playing around with the settings a little bit here n there to see which gives me best handling with least roll... take note that ur rear should typically be 2-4 steps softer than ur front. ur front has to handle the weight of ur engine... |

QUOTE(EyraYus @ Mar 7 2011, 07:37 PM) Yep agree, but I don think my mom will want to ride in the Civic if bucket werr to be used bucket doesnt always mean full buckets ler.... the recaro SR3 from the Type R Civic EK9 & Integra DC2 are actually very comfortable. easy to get in and out... etc etcbut still holds pretty well in corners.... only downside is that theyre 15kgs per seat theres still other options like Levin seats, recaro enjoy, recaro fishnet.. etc etc... all pretty decent. im tagetting either the SR3 or Bride Low Max GIAS (replica) or Sparco Prodrive (replica)....still havent decided... QUOTE(noprob @ Mar 7 2011, 08:17 PM) depends on the seat...the seats i mentioned above should be ok i guess....but isnt baby seat usually in the back seat? |
