Just done Ultra Glass coating/illuminated side step and coil mat at GLS Auto USJ.
At Klang official V-Kool branch, I walk in, the staff there watching TV, some resting on the sofas. I stand there for almost 2 minutes only one of the staff ask me wait cause the sales lady in toilet. I asked the lady bout coating she knew nothing also. Went to GLS, the staff there very helpful, explain to me about the coat, show me to an Audi that already done coating. Teach me how to maintain, have a nice chat with few of the staff there also. Of course they promote lot's of stuff to me as well. Well I just get what I wanted done only, they offer me to do Invisible shield for headlamp, buzzer, speakers, soundproofing even custom horn lolx. Every staff there also dam good sales person lol. But overall, very happy with the service and the staff also friendly. Forgotten to bring my camera there, when I get some shots will share here. Thanks alot to ZeroSP as well for introducing me there. This post has been edited by nles: Jul 15 2010, 01:44 AM |

WTF @@, i not first time facing this problem.. I try before when i went into a "hole" on the road, the brake pedal giving me the feeling, all drop down with the brake pad "yeeeee" sounds like when you're ran out of Brake Pad that time.. and then there is 1 more time, i was in front of the toll booth going to go thru the SmartTAG, there is a bump there, and i accidentally went thru as well, then the BRAKE Lost feeling come back again, but that time is even worst, as i'm passing thru, i'm glad that i'm using SmartTAG, if not i might already bank into the ramp >.<" previously i did complain before this problem, but the SA unable to determine my problem, and they said they just can put the brake "air" out, until then my brake is working fine until last SAT. bro, i got the same problem with..still dunno whats the main problem caused..its the matter of safety rite now..can somebody rectify this problem? please..im out of idea already whenever i try to explain to the SC..i asked 1 of my friend whom driving the same spec with me as well, i ask him whether got face this kind of problem before or not, he said his Civic never, but his MyVi yes, he said this caused by the ABS.. i was so confuse, ABS not help us STOP but let us unable to step on the Brake Pedal, hopefully there are experienced user here would how to overcome this problem. thanks in advance |

Great bro nles... Can't wait to see your new ride...
And to the brake problem, if you guys don't mind... I can arrange an appointment to check at Honda Global Amity... I believe there they can help you guys figure it out. But according to the symptoms explained, you guys might as well as read up what is VSA. It is a whole system consists of TCS, 4-way ABS, Understeer correction, Oversteer correction. I believe it is one of the component working out. |

QUOTE(n3sta_n_roses @ Jul 15 2010, 01:53 AM) bro, i got the same problem with..still dunno whats the main problem caused..its the matter of safety rite now..can somebody rectify this problem? please..im out of idea already whenever i try to explain to the SC.. I had a similar problem many yrs ago on my Mazda Cronos V6. For my case, sometimes when I step on the brakes hard, the pedal would slowly descend to the floor. After that the ABS light will come on. Turns out I had a faulty front left ABS sensor. All I had to do was get it cleaned. What happened was, when I stepped on the brakes, the faulty front left sensor didn't detect that wheel stopping, which the ABS computer thought was the car slipping, so it released pressure on the other three wheels to try and straighten the car out. The feeling is as if there was an airlock or fluid leak in my brake lines. Scary sh*t.For any car with a properly functioning ABS, you will find that stopping on uneven roads like gravel or wet roads will actually take a longer distance than a car without ABS. Please remember that the ABS system is not meant to help you stop faster, rather it is to enable you to steer out of harm's way while braking hard, and also to help you brake in a straight line should there be water or other slippery surface. TCS or VSA helps you stabilize your car while you're negotiating a corner or if one side of your car loses traction. However, if the system is faulty, you should have gotten a warning light on the meter panel. A good read on ABS/TCS/VSA: http://www.securitydriver.com/aic/stories/article-111.html |

Precisely... As Honda VSA utilizes 4-way ABS, there may be one of the 4 sensors not functioning properly for them.

QUOTE(ozak @ Jul 15 2010, 09:11 AM) Added on July 15, 2010, 9:44 am In real world if I not mistaken, when you jam your brake with ABS, your car should stop shorter distance than without ABS. The most easy to know your ABS is when you jam your brake hard, you can feel hard vibrate at your brake pedal. Just don't let go. This is very easy to test in the real world especially on a dirt or gravel road. Drive at about 40km/h, then slam on the brakes. Because the gravel will cause your car to slip so much it won't allow your car's tyres to dig into the sand, you'll find your brakes pulsing to a slow but secure halt. If you pull out the fuse for the ABS and try again, you'll find that by letting the wheels dig in you'll stop much faster. The only time that ABS will help a car stop faster is on a slippery wet surface, and that's only because if without ABS your wheels will lock and you will aquaplane out of control. As for not letting go, here's an actual exp I had some time ago. I was driving an 04' City iDSI. Coming out from Mid Valley going towards Jln Maarof, while taking the left bend on the overhead bridge (beside Maybank building), at the corner where there is a blind spot a car had just stalled. The road was slippery as it had just finished raining. Upon seeing the stalled car I hit the brakes as I was going about 70km/h. Because I was in the bend, stepping on my brakes hard caused the rear to sway out. So I countered the sway by steering the other way. I had to do this a few times cos the tail kept swinging from left to right because the front absorbers kept getting loaded. My foot was on the brakes hard, but the ABS did nothing to stabilize my car, in fact it felt as if I had no brakes! I had to release the brakes while doing the counter manouver, and only stepped hard when the car was straightening out. Missed the stalled car by inches! The lesson learnt there is, ABS didn't save my @ss that day, *I* saved my @ss. No matter if you have ABS/TCS/VSA, all that will count for nothing if you lose traction while braking. So better drive slowly and don't be a hero lol..... |

QUOTE(gregy @ Jul 15 2010, 01:25 PM) Sorry this is not entirely correct. If the road isn't wet, a car without ABS will allow you to lock your wheels, enabling you to stop in a shorter distance. The problem is, once stopped your car may not be facing the same direction as when you started braking lol. However, if you don't skid at all, your car will come to a screeching halt faster than if you had ABS which will catch and release the brakes at up to 15Hz, thereby prolonging the distance a bit. I didn't test the ABS on the dry road. This is very easy to test in the real world especially on a dirt or gravel road. Drive at about 40km/h, then slam on the brakes. Man, it was fun. For your another real life experience, my experience with this is, step on the pedal not the brake. Concentrate on the steering to control the car swaying. When you get back the control of your car, jam the brake. The VSA will constanly lightup to get your car back to track if you have one. But I did try to off the VSA by take out the fuse and try this swaying. It a bit harder to control. This post has been edited by ozak: Jul 15 2010, 02:10 PM |
