2006 civic 2.0 should be lower than 90k. Unless very good condition.

Verbal promise is no use. Write it in black and white and sign it. See your SA will do it or not.

This is normal for them to say when is when got car. But normally ffk one. Unless the type of car no laku.

Do you know what is the purpose of tint film use for? If it can let the smart tag or gps can detect, that mean the film is not good enough. It is not 99.9% blocking whatever ray from the sun.

The tint film is protect you.

normally how much it cost to install this tracking system? and any good/trusty place to install this??
*
Captor cost around rm4k to install with first yrs subcript free. GSM+radiowave higher price. rm150 peryrs following. battery need to change every 2yrs. The install place is in hartamas and batu cave HQ.

Bare in mind that, they will strip your car. If you sayang your car, don't do it.

They have to take car apart even for Connex? I thought since it's done by Honda itself, they should know how to do it correctly, rite? Any risks from stripping car to install these type of security systems?
I m talking about captor. It is a third party security system. There is no risk stripping the car to install. They have done this many time. Just you can't bare to see your new car being dismantle. By the way, they don't allow you to see what they doing.

The installation require whole day. So you need to put your car there and take back evening.

So now Honda change strategie. No more vtec or fast car. Small car and small engine which save petrol and enviro frendly.

Who still dream of vtec or type r car, better do it quickly before regret.

3.  V-Kool has very good heat rejection, but they use metal based compound, so there's a chance it will rust. Checked out a few and quite partial to Llumar (looks cool from outside, nice reflectivity) and EcoTint (good heat rejection, but no metal). Haven't checked out 3M and HuperOptik yet, can't find a dealer nearby my place. Thinking of doing security tint since not too big a difference in price.
V-kool will rust? Never hear before. hmm.gif I ve been using vkool for 8yrs. Don't see any rust there. The only thing is from outside, you will see slightly fade which not as clear as new install. And after that long yrs, the film is easy peel off. Specially when you peel off the road tax.

1. Ya i understand, GPS only works in good condition, My company uses GSM / RF / GPRS as well.. so i'm sure that's not a problem for me, in that case, maybe i will add also the alarm system, CRIME GUARD maybe,
For me. it doesn't matter what radio signal it using. The important is the company good track record and the yearly subcription fee. A high yearly subcription fee will hurt your wallet in a long run.

No good track record and only saleman talk kok is no use. I need to know how they going to find my car, is your system secure enough and some real hijack/lost case from people experience.

Hmm... V-kool definitely will rust... Or they simply call it corrosion because of metallic based... But maybe if take good care will delay the corrosion.
*
Well, for 8yrs it proof better than others I guess. That is my previous car. Why I said so is, my car now is using rikecool. After almost 3yrs, the tinted film start bubble. I m not sure it is a workmanship problem or the material problem. I will take back and f**k them.

Time will tell.

That is still possible and avaiable if you not too choosy the 4digit. Last time my SA get a nice 4digit for me. But the alphabert is way behind. Example, I get WQC XXXX but now aleady running at WRC XXXX.

OK guyz. Now confirm is Honda issue. Ecotint on the spot tested spray light water to new Honda CRV, Honda Accord, Honda Civic & Honda City car windows. After wind down n up the car window all of them inner part of the windows were wet! Theirs just slightly wet. Mine is worst.

Those who just got your car try it out and let me know are you having the same issue or not please...
*
Have you take some picture or video as proof? If no, just talk kok also no use. Complain SC, push here and there. With picture and video, you can spread here and honda malaysia about their worst quality. Scare them like hell. smile.gif

I spoke to Honda ysterday regarding new alarms.

THe only one that they "support" is Cobra.

Any wires that look out of place after installation of other 3rd Party alarms will void the warranty.

My sa was telling me that someone who messed around with the wiring after installing a new 3rd party alarm, had to pay 3k for honda techs to look at the problem and resolve it >_<
*
Not true. If your car have some problem with electrical thing, SC will ask you disconnect the 3rd party alarm to have them for check. Otherwise they blame on 3rd alarm. Cause most of the SA don't have much knowledge on electrical thing. Specially new car.

I have an experience on this situation.

only brake lock & steering lock, i dont think is user friendly and able to prevent much.. ok la.. if Alarm cannot, then i have to use the GPS tracking only.. since it only tap 3 wires.. >.<" i think should be ok gua >.<" erm.. if i wanna change BM Horn lerh? it void warranty as well?  rclxub.gif  faint =.=
*
Do you really need so many lock? Crazy right? rclxub.gif Just lock your whole car will take 10min. Ha....

Just use steering lock is enough.

Install a GPS tracking and track by yourself for what?

If your car get stolen, can you confront the thieft if you know where your car is? Will you risk your life to fight them? hmm.gif

If your car get stolen in the middle of the night and tommorow mornng you only realize, wil you go over to country border to get back your car? hmm.gif

u sure? im in aus now..they say i can install 3rd party without voiding my warranty. So i installed my alarm/reverse sensor outside Honda. BUT if they found out is ur alarm causing the problem...then u have to pay. Sounds reasonable to me.
*
Here mereishia, SC like to point finger here and there. The honda SC will try to find whatever your mistake and won't let you claim.

Steering lock and GPS center is more than enough.

Think logical and research some civic stolen history will save you some money. icon_rolleyes.gif Even your car too.

Depend on what company. Some company will hide the transmitter anywhere in your car. And you won't know. They don't allow you to see when install.
