Sound proofing, but not exactly economical depending on material. Whole car I think need to spend 1K min and more than 2K if done extensively.
But one thing you cannot soundproof is the front and back windscreens lah, so no matter what there will be sound from there especially if raining.

Another is to change tyres, but the effect is depending on what tyre models. My recent change from PP2 to PS3 makes a big big difference in terms of noise level. PP2 is really noisy lah.

Most economical way is to.... turn your music volume really really loud. Guarantee cannot hear other noise  tongue.gif

*
going to change my PP2 to Hankook V8RS which is more comfort and silent... acording to the forumer feedback... not sure how true is it.. but the price for it quite fit my budget.. which is RM300/pcs... smile.gif
not afford to get PS3 although it is in my top wishlist... drool.gif
plan to go some minor soundproof in future.... maybe for the obvious tyre part..... smile.gif

If you're driving FD2 using stock PP2, this one is a proven method. PP2 memang famous for being noisy though it's a tyre that performs well.

Not sure if you change the ARB to aftermarket ones like Ultra Racing, but I find that it increases noise by quite a lot when going through uneven roads due to rigidity.

Best bang for buck in reducing external noise is to sound proof wheel arch and four doors. Very expensive if wanna do more extensive ones.
*
any idea on how much this will cost... smile.gif

btw, i just change my PP2 to hankook V8rs for 215/45/17 smile.gif feel that also the same. noisy also....haizzz sad...

The bumpy ride is all the time feeling the car like vibrating especially on the base side. smile.gif more severe when it go thru the harsh road... M'sia road condition.....

What is the level of your stereo volume you set normally? Mind usually level 4 with mid boost.

If you not willing to pay, what can you do? Even autofoam cost you thousand +. The whole car can be soundproof. 30% can be achieve able + your low noise tyre.
*
just wan to spend wisely... if it is worth, then still will consider to fix. smile.gif
I listen to FM most of the time and set the volume at 6-7.... our FD1 dun have the function whereby when the speed is increase the volume also get increase. right? kindly advice. notworthy.gif not so sure about it.... haha....

i not so sure abt bro, as mine 1 is claimed thru waranty... but after claimed and changed, just feel that my car will tend to "go"left when the steering go freely.... not sure whether is related to the recent changed rack or not....

Many part going to spoil after warranty. What are you gong to do? Are you not willing to pay after warranty?

Once no VSA before driving, you will encounter rough gear shift to D and some jerking when accelerate if I remember. Nothing worry about if without VSA. It just and extra feature for the car
*
agree with the bold statement..... sweat.gif i do experience it...... damn... especially when the nowadays car exceed 100k.... all the parts start to spoil 1 by 1....
not same as yr 90 generation car's quality like my '94 SEG.. also bought 2nd. but doesn't give much problem as my 2nd bought FD1.... shakehead.gif
