I tried using data at difference places. Seems like I'm facing a common issue despite changing location. When I activate 3G my signal will drop to 1 bar and when I only use EDGE my signal will be full bar. So whenever I activate 3G I cannot surf Internet at all. My top speed is around 0.7mbps.

either u go the nearest umobile centre or you can do it here via digilife. you don't have to buy a new simpack to mnp to umobile

If your simcard is of the small gold chip type, it can be safely cut into a nanosim, i have cut a few and users have not complain once

Either you make sure your credit is more than rm28 after you subscribed Umi28 or is abt zero it should be fine

Why?

1) if your credit is, lets say rm30 after you subscribed to UMi28 and you have not disable the AUTO RENEWAL feature, it will auto renew for you on the 31st day , thereby it wont charge you a "Pay As You Use" on data.

2) if your credit is Zero after you subscribed to UMi28, then come the date your UMi28 expired, the system will not deduct anything cause you have zero credit

So morale of my story is ~ Pls plan your usage before the subscribed package expires

Ahhh, mine is the big gold chip type. So means I'll have to change to the smaller type and then ask them to cut? How much does it cost to change sim card?

it depends, if you say your simcard cannot call out and that its faulty, maybe they will waive the charges for you.

it all depends on the CSO at the service center.

most of the time is FOC, but Maxis charges rm25/simcard and Digi rn20 if i am not mistaken.

i dun charge any extra if users MNP via me or come to my place to cut Nano sim biggrin.gif
