Uguu...... I was mentioned in this thread. Long time no see reveur. I hope you can attend the future DS meetups like you used to, there are no hostilities among everyone no matter how heated the arguement is.
It's up to gamers to choose their method of obtaining their game, legit or otherwise. No matter how much you flame or rip them apart in the forum, they will not change unless they themselves realise the importance of respecting intellectual properties. I'm pretty sure very few people in reveur's list (btw, you forgot to put corez) started on original games right from the start. However when I see a post/ thread discussing on how to pirate games, I'll just report it and leave it to the moderators to take action they see fit. There's no need to reply to it, and give the impression like all the ori supporters are a bunch of snobbish elitist. Another thing I don't like in a forum is off-topic posts. Unfortunately the only 2D side scroller I have for the DS is New Super Mario Bros. and Super Princess Peach. The GBA has lots of excellent games like Yoshi's Island and Astro Boy: Omega Factor just to name a few, so don't just leave the DS's Slot-2 unused. QUOTE(Kyoyagami @ Jan 24 2009, 02:27 PM) Rev suddenly appears out of nowhere and we see him active! If you attend the meetup on a regular basis then I can lend it to you, so you can return it on the next one. But the game is freaking hard I tell you! Well TS, life is for you to choose what you desire. And yes, go for Jump Superstar. Super awesome fighter. And PM, borrow ur Astro Boy. I crave for such a game for so long... Jump Ultimate Stars isn't a side scrolling game you know, but at least it's newer than Jump Superstars. And I forgot that I also have Sonic Rush in my collection, my first and the best (and only) Sonic game. This post has been edited by Pr1me_Minister: Jan 25 2009, 04:31 AM |

Somehow for me, 2d Side Scrollers don't really add up much for me. So, what sticks as 2D gameplay to me should be minor. And don't count fighting games. They are not enough.
When I mean Astro Boy, it's that sort of game that I crave to see in the DS. Prince of Persia: Fallen King should get a mention albeit some flawed mechanics. But no doubt, the Treasure made game has pulled off something so magical that it actually makes you smile with every fight til the end. That's rare. |
