Ah no wonder my DiGi line is acting lately. Its my secondary line , and anyhow I hope they aren't silently rolling 3G phone services for mobile phones (i.e video call)

so miss fruitie , what's your say on this ?

Anyway I am on iPhone 3G and I still have a 3G phone (with video camera). I guess DiGi is into providing quality broadband services by using 3G. That's a good move , at least the broadband services would be good rather then if its being used for both broadband and video calls !

Yep , I think if they allow both Video/Voice on 3G + Data. Data users are going to suffer a lot as you must understand resources are scare and bam they would have to reallocate more towards voice/video call users then data. After all lets face it , the percentage of folks would be on data would be lesser then those who would be using it for voice/video calls ! Hence you'll have a problem with data services later on as the bandwidth is being shared among data and voice users. By default , MSP prefers to allocate more towards voice users.

This is why Celcom/Maxis broadband sucks , despite the fact that you can get good signal. Try to use Celcom broadband in rural areas and you'll be amazed with 3G speeds. Try to use it in centre of KL and you'll be shocked - at times it can go as slow as 56k

I bet fruitie has experienced this before tongue.gif with her celcom broadband !
