Hi guys,
Been following this thread for awhile now, ever since I decided to get a Gen2 CPS. Booked my car late March, expected to get it in May. Kinda late, as the variant I want don't have ready stock (M/T, Hibiscus Tea) Proton has been slowing down the production of the Gen2 lately, especically the Gen2 M/T. Not really sure why. They only made less than 100 units of the M/T variant in Feb.
Took me awhile to decide whether to get the manual or the auto. Lack of manual test drive cars didn't help. In the end, after reading the comments here, decided to go for the manual.
Anyway, just a few questions.
1. Does the Gen2 CPS comes with carpet mats, or just the coil mats (grey colour)? 2. Does it use the H3 halogen bulb for the foglamps? 3. Anyone managed to connect an AUX jack to the stock Gen2 HU? There's a clip of it on youtube (search: DIY Gen2 aux). Just need a simple connector, but none of the electronics shop around PJ have any idea abt it. Haven't been to Jalan Pasar yet though.
Hope the sifu's here can shed some light.
Thanks.

Seatbelt light probably used as a systems check light for the pretensioner system. Same like check engine light. If it remains on, maybe there's a fault with ur pretentioner. Not really sure, just an educated guess.
Why do you need a seatbelt light to remind you to put on your seatbelt anyway? Shouldn't you automatically put it on once you get into your car? Don't need a small light to remind you to buckle up to save your life.

Just got my Gen2 CPS MT, Hibiscus Tea So far, very satisfied with my car, can feel the power comes in at abt 2800rpm. Haven't rev till CPS activation point yet, sayang the car, wanna run in first. Only 2 minor problems so far. 1. Steering not pointing straight when travelling straight. 2. Steering vibrates slightly at abt 115~120km/h (balancing prob i guess)
FC so far, 5.4L/100km (according to meter). Still on my first tank, so not sure how accurate it is.

QUOTE(nayte @ Jun 1 2009, 09:42 PM) did you get discount when you get your car? Nope. Booked my car in end of March. Took quite a while as I don't mind waiting for the colour and transmission choice. Took the eXchange program, scrapped my old Tiara for the 5k voucher. Plus I got the RM1k service coupons, which can be used for labour and parts.
