oil treatment at 1st i think no need oso... as the foreman keep on buggin me to add it, then i canot tahan and "kena" already...  doh.gif
for wheel balancing/alignment, since the SC had balancing/alignment service then why not i just do it together as i had no time to go for separate balancing/alignment in between 1k-5k... so next time for 5k serv will do together oso...  rclxms.gif

since this is my 1st car that have fuel injection ,i oso dunno much bout fuel injector... the foreman oledi told me bout it but as usual, i keep forgot bout this coz i really dun get what he told me... hahah...  tongue.gif  maybe other otai can describe it for us...  icon_question.gif
*
Allignment & Balancing people usually do it every 10-20k actually smile.gif , but of coz if always kena "big hole" than will be faster loh .

QUOTE(norseman @ Mar 14 2009, 11:57 PM)
So why need treatment?
*
Usually people put that to make the Engine Oil thicker , its like Vitamin C lah ,but new engine I dnt think need loh.

Hey guys , Have some question regards the clutch .

1. when I step clutch and shift gear , the RPM will tend to go up though I release all my accelerator pedal .

2. My Car sometimes will tend have to higher RPM during free gear =.= (eg: 1500rpm , 2000pm), but after I re-start my engine ,everything will back to normal (<1000rpm)

1. Thats normal for CPS and also Campro.

2. Maybe the aircond compressor is on or the engine is cold, thus higher rpm.
*
But the 2nd one always happen after/during I stuck in Jam (which meant I use a lot of 1st gear and clutch )

Same with mine. I think the drive by wire trying to keep the engine from stalling.
*
Does your one go back to <1000rpm after while ? (I restart my engine immediately as I thought its faulty hence do not wish to waste petrol sweat.gif )

Full tank go around 50KMs, the fuel bar dropped by 1 quarter @ 9L/100KMs!
Juz now, done 30KMs, dropped to 8.1L/100KMs..
Looking too.. The one that was shown @ paultan.org was kinda nice..too bad no twin exhaust~  tongue.gif
*

btw I agree with Gen2 CPS low , sometimes I will "kena/scratch" the bottom , but the car from outside see is bit high

It's here: http://paultan.org/archives/2008/03/10/200...odykit-artwork/

I think is bcz of braking..when brake the car dips lower in front, that's y scratch.. Stiffer suspensions may work??  hmm.gif
*
the rear diffuser look very chun , but I wonder if its available in the market do we need to take out our rear skirt and modify or plug and play ?

QUOTE(norseman @ Mar 27 2009, 12:49 AM)
eujinee: run in? My FC seems to stabilise at ard the 9.4 - 9.7 range on a light foot which I think is close the the real consumption. So far I've tried Caltex, Shell and now on Esso. Don't seem to feel much difference.
jVIPERs2: On empty tank I can pump about rm63 till the pump keeps cutting out, but when see fuel gauge its still nowhere near full. And really just travel a bit the meter already drop to 3/4!
Tmr do PPS!
*
I have the same problem , and have sent to EON GlenMarie and they have replace the fueld pump but problem still not solve ,next Monday going to apply half more day leave to go and check shakehead.gif

QUOTE(jVIPERs2 @ Mar 27 2009, 01:20 AM)
Pls don't force in more fuel.. Even my SA tried to, and end up fuel all over my rear and rims!  doh.gif
It's full, juz our meter a lil 'inaccurate'?  whistling.gif
Apa tu PPS??

Oh btw, when can I go claim warranty @ Shah Alam CoSE?? Do I need to make an appointment??
Thanx~  notworthy.gif
*
I think claimed warranty is better , inaccurate Fuel meter will cause me to wonder/worry how much petrol leave in the fuel tank ,
COE is quite pack , better make appointment earlier , and I heard there the speed is a bit slow sweat.gif

QUOTE(sphiroth @ Mar 27 2009, 09:40 AM)
Put a diffuser. It looks nice and can protect the bumper from scratching the road too.
But you need to use their approve car shampoo to get the warranty if i'm not mistaken. The cost is about RM700. For me, I wax my car every month myself with Turtle Wax quick detailer and send it to polish and wax at shop for RM150 every year. So if I do the PPS, it will take me 5 years to get back the ROI.

IMHO, it just not worth it. Better save up the money and after 5 years, get a new 'fresh' paint job.

I am planning to try the McKleen wash and wax service , the shop told me they are using Meguiars Pro range , RM80 promotion price , worth it ?

Nope. laugh.gif
I'm using it on my previous ride and the result it great. Just not suitable for my current dark coloured car as it tend to leave white dust when it dries.
I notice there is 2 type of diffuser use by gen2, one type is just like a rear skirting, just add to the existing bumper. The other one, some of the middle bottom part of the rear buper is cut out and the diffuser is revet there.

For a 60k car, RM80 carwash is just doesn't worth it. My 2 cent. nod.gif
*
Wonder how much the rear diffuser cost .

RM80 Car Wash and Wax .. actually I am thinking about that also sweat.gif , any recommended place for car waxing ?

my car fixed already ...thanks for the concern...rear absober totally gone...spring mouting came off thts y the car is so low down...front absober is ok...rims no dent...hhehe...tyre looks fine..thanks to my 50 series tyre..hehhe...phew...so..fix 2 monroe gas shock at rear..rm 115 per piece...alignment and balacing thts it...btw...surprising my alignment didnt run much..took less thn 1minute for alignment...0_o"...
I did mine at Mckleen , choose their professional Wax which is having offer for Autoworld member , very good and shinny thumbup.gif but forgot take photo just now due to rush sweat.gif

1. They use Meguiars Shampoo Wash to wash my car.

2. Than after wipe off and cleaning my car, they use that blue thingy to "gosok/wipe" my car .

3. And at last they wax it with Meguiars Professional Paste Wax to wax it.

i think its pretty hard to change/service the air filter if the strut bars is there blocking the way... wat do u think? i was going to get the ultra racing 3 point bars... but then scared the bar will be blocking the air filter...

Added on March 30, 2009, 8:56 pmjust went to EON today to change my rims. warranty coz the outer layer for the powder coating was damaged and claimed it lo. the new powder coating is like... flat and not shining... i find it extra weird like old stock... hm...

i remember new batch CPS like got one part shining.. wonder he got cheat me or not.. aih... forgot to check the new rims before sending it in... dang!
*
If we are having own K&N Air Filter which required us to wash ourself than very troublesome sweat.gif , but than when we send for service I dont think EON will charge us extra right whistling.gif

QUOTE(eujinee @ Mar 30 2009, 10:06 PM)
isit....thn i changed my rear abs already....hahah..front abs still ok

47k service..normal service...

i find shell helix 10w is better thn mobil one 10w...i can feel is much smoother in shell...
BTW..my car power window the whole window drop to the bottom..wen SC to fix back.they say is just the bottom clip which holding the glass slip thus the glass was not hold firmly...

Added on March 30, 2009, 10:10 pm
im using UR 3 point also..but still can service the airfilter...but is more troblesome..u nid to take off the side air ram intake...
*
UR 3 point easier to service compare with R3 2 points ?

EON use Petronas , Semi is 15w50 == , I am going to change to Fully soon , 5w40 .
