but for me, campro cps is using old tech... noting to be proud if compare to automotive world... but it already good proton can make that engine ...
vim = mitsu already use it at mid 80 ... this only to gain low & mid torque...
cam profile switching = vtec have both intake & exhaust cam, cps only intake cam .. old tech oso...
i dunno why proton make old campro engine that way.... use cam for hi rev... but compression only 10:1 ... for sure the car will suffer low & mid rpm... car weight oso heavy... hi cam need to combine with hi compress piston.... just increase cr to 11:1 ... sure all ppl no complain already about power...
for cps engine, no need to install vim to gain low & mid torque..... just increase cr & tweak camshaft.... coz already have cam switching... at low rpm, just less overlap, 1 valve low lift & 1 valve medium lift.... at hi rpm... just switch to hi cam lobe..... both intake valve hi lift..... so get low mid hi rpm power without vim.....
maybe now car maker only focus on fuel efficiency, environment & safety ... just see civic fd, just 155hp only.. before this, honda can make 160hp on 1600cc engine.. now performance only go for sportcar ...
