hi to all overclocking sifus....im a newbie in overclocking..this is my first time wanna try out overclocking...may i know wats the difference between overclocking in bios compare to overclocking with AMD Overdrive??....wat are the pros and cons?

this are my specs anyway:
processor: amd phenom 9950BE
mobo: msi 790gx-m
ram: 2gb kingston ddr2 800
gfx: asus 8800gt top edition

i havent started but already a little addicted dy...hopefully wont go as crazy as u guys..lol....anyway...wats the highest clock speed u guys are able to clock phenom 9950BE to so far?

oh ya..and i have another question....i used to own a amd ahthon x2 6000 (with xigmatek achilles cooler + tx2 thermal compound)..and my cpu temperature average is around 35-38.....now i have change the processor to phenom 9950 (with xigmatek achilles cooler + tx2 thermal compound also)..the temperature average is around 45-48.....is this normal?...or the temperature shud be lower??......

erm..no..not the same board...for the athlon x2 600, im pairing with biostar ta770 mobo.......now for the phenom 9950BE, im pairing with msi 790gx-m mobo....

im a little suspicious bout the temperature when i first saw it...but i duno who shud i refer to or any benchmark to follow...imo...if my athlon is around 38 last time...then the phenom shud be around 43 (or less than 45)...cos 48 is a little way too high....

or probably i apply my thermal paste a little too much again?....cos when last time i first time apply thermal paste to my ahtlon x2 6000 (with xigmatek archilles), i paste it all over the proc..and the temperature raise up to 44-48 (no difference as stock cooler )..then i have to take it out and re-apply again..then only the temperature drop down to 35...LOL

erm..i have a question....i check my cpu temperature with everest ultimate edition...it will display the temperature of core 1, core 2, core 3, core 4 and also 'CPU temperature'...normally when wanna look at cpu temperature..i shud pay attention to those core temperature (core 1, core 2 etc...) or just the 'CPU temperature'??...cos normally the 'CPU TEMPERATURE' will be a lil lower than those 'core 1, core 2 etc..
