Clock to clock, intel's IPC is higher a bit with a very little margin. No fanboyism here as i own both setups. And i feel they are just around the same at the same clock hmm.gif

So i think it would be the same, yes ? hmm.gif

guyz i need help badly right now. regarding prime95. i uses blend test and sumtimes worker #2 failed. now testing using large FFT. can i know when shud i use blend and when shud i use the others? im just using KVR rams. is that the reason why it failed on blend test.

using:
7750BE @ 3.17. x15.5 multi and 205 Bus @1.4V
*
what's d freq of ya ram? small fft = proc stressin only, blend test more on ram, i always use custom thou. 8 - 4096, disable run ffts in place, memory to use = half of ya mem size, time to run each fft size = 1, at least one hour needed. smile.gif

if ya ram freq is low enuf it shouldn't be ram issue, some more ur runnin at half multi so d ram will actually run @ lower freq than d one reported by cpu-z. in this case, it could be vcore/vnb/vhtt not enuf. what board ur usin now? hmm.gif

no doubt intel has higher ipc, but from what i heard (pro in vrz mentioned) amd has faster boot up time if compared to intel. but w/ raid 0 enabled, it could be diff story... sweat.gif

That is more likely caused by the hdd itself i think, influences by the OSes only affect the loading speed by a very little margin i guess. hmm.gif

Not by HDD.I also own 2 systems(both same clocks),my bro and mine.Obviously mine was faster eventhough he use XP.No fanboism. This has something to do with architechtural.

windows loading heavily depend on installation CD ( ahem brows.gif )
my C2D (RAID1-mirror) & AthlonX2 (standard HDD) load windows very fast
but OptyX1 (std HDD) pawn both of them cry.gif
AMD + tight timing = FTW!!

either white paper(which i see impossible..) or through reviewers (for ex: anandtech), or go take course VHDL/VLSI laugh.gif

it's very hard to digest white paper for a 2ndary school kid. one needs lotsa knowledge (microE) to understand those things mentioned in white papers. sweat.gif
