that's one of d boards that i would love to put my hands on. 4 mosfets for each phase, d most i've ever see so far. most are just 3 mosfets for each phase, even d great dfi... tongue.gif

as mentioned, other than timin & clock, os tweakin also effects d result of spi. 875 @ 5-5-5-x is kinda low, if u really want better spi result, it's either go > 10xx w/ loose timin or around 900 ish @ 4-4-4-x. spi guru xixo can guide u better on this... notworthy.gif

1. if there's a increase in clock speed, yes, there'll be increase in temp. i can guarantee u that as higher clock speed leads to higher tdp, even w/ same amount of voltage.
2. rule of thumb in AMD oc, no c&q. so....
3. yup, try to max out d raw clock speed b4 playin w/ htt oc as higher htt leads to limitation of oc headroom.

why not bro? deneb 940 oc is not limited by amount of ram (2GB vs 4GB w/ 2 slots) & even os. they oc almost equally in 32-bits & 64-bits os... it's diff case w/ agena where they suffer some oc mileage in 64-bits os... sad.gif

i must say "to each his own", if one just playin w/ multi only, they won't gain much fun. it's easier to oc one component (be it ram/chip) at a time, but it's d challenge that make d oc fun when both (it could be 3 for agena & deneb > includin nb oc) are oc @ d sametime. smile.gif

lock up/reboot usually cost by insufficent vcore. for vdimm (as long as not too low), stress will just fail w/ warning. trial & error for vnb & vhtt, usually these voltages don't need big bumps (3 notches are gud enuf for me) if no insane oc involved. smile.gif

d reason why i picked 24' is d resolution bro. no point takin 22' while 20' havin d same resolution.

a 24' should be around RM1k plus, a pair of 4850 cost another RM1k plus, d rest go to dragon platform + a decent pair of 4GB... kautim... thumbup.gif

nolah, decent mean above average, tracer can do d job ledi. ddr1000 w/ reasonable voltage is not a problem. or go gskill ddr1000 oso not bad, or even team dark (they're sellin cheap here in sls). wink.gif

forgot about asus, yeah, since u'll have some leftover $$$, can go for ah shuuuu as well. still, i'll recommend dfi for sure, ah shuuuu x rox... tongue.gif

i always have better luck in ram if compared to chip, that's why most of my oc are limited by chip. wink.gif

basically as u mentioned, vnb + vhtt doesn't help much in ram oc, timin + vdimm are more important. my experience w/ value ram:

- if they're d9 chipset, they still can take 2.2v w/ active coolin
- can't really do tight timin, tightest i went was 5-4-4-x @ ddr1000 w/ 2.2v (prime stable)
- dun expect too much as they are value ram unless ur bein lucky gettin a gud batch. tongue.gif

memset & aod (for voltage adjustment only!!!) are useful tools for ram fine tuning... wink.gif
