TRUE in push -pull config is d best air coolin setup imo, i'm not surprise if it gives very gud temp even under oc. ask bro verdict, he got d same setup in his rig... one word to describe... pawerrrrrr...

oh ya..and i have another question....i used to own a amd ahthon x2 6000 (with xigmatek achilles cooler + tx2 thermal compound)..and my cpu temperature average is around 35-38.....now i have change the processor to phenom 9950 (with xigmatek achilles cooler + tx2 thermal compound also)..the temperature average is around 45-48.....is this normal?...or the temperature shud be lower??......

The highest oc for 9950BE u have to ask ah_khoo
It's normal ah, ur moving from a dual core to a quad core.. Sooo expect more heat ler..

it's up to u actually, d money is yas to spend. ofcoz we (at least our TS) hope u stay w/ amd mah...

3200 prime stable, 3300 3d benchable for my so so 9950. should be able to hit a 'lil higher if coolin is better...

same board? if same u mite need to remount d cooler. no doubt 9950 is hotter by a 'lil, but around 10'c diff that's way too big for me.

erm..no..not the same board...for the athlon x2 600, im pairing with biostar ta770 mobo.......now for the phenom 9950BE, im pairing with msi 790gx-m mobo....

im a little suspicious bout the temperature when i first saw it...but i duno who shud i refer to or any benchmark to follow...imo...if my athlon is around 38 last time...then the phenom shud be around 43 (or less than 45)...cos 48 is a little way too high....

or probably i apply my thermal paste a little too much again?....cos when last time i first time apply thermal paste to my ahtlon x2 6000 (with xigmatek archilles), i paste it all over the proc..and the temperature raise up to 44-48 (no difference as stock cooler )..then i have to take it out and re-apply again..then only the temperature drop down to 35...LOL

p/s:dont flame me about the intel thingy im buying behalf of my bro.. me got no money to buy those things...

diff board give diff readin bro, some boards report higher while some give lower readings. in my case, i think biostar give lower readings than my dfi w/ same chip (9750). there's no definite way of applyin thermal paste, but heatpipe direct touch & flat base cooler has their own recommended way IIANM. agree on too much thermal paste ain't gonna help, sometimes it get worse.

pheew... gud that ur gonna stay w/ amd bro, can't let intel get all d sifus we have here mah...

go for 790fx board bro, once u tasted 790fx u won't think of goin for 790gx nemore. i can guarantee u that...
