almost all Phenom II is 0850, while reviewer/ES got 0848

hi to all overclocking sifus....im a newbie in overclocking..this is my first time wanna try out overclocking...may i know wats the difference between overclocking in bios compare to overclocking with AMD Overdrive??....wat are the pros and cons?

this are my specs anyway:
processor: amd phenom 9950BE
mobo: msi 790gx-m
ram: 2gb kingston ddr2 800
gfx: asus 8800gt top edition

any advice will be appreciated...thx

bios oc is more recommended, i only use AOD to do slight htt increment & voltages adjustment. d thing w/ AOD is it's quite picky on boards. for example AOD 2.1.4 works wonderfully on my DFI 790FXb while it was a shite on biostar 790gx. if it works for ya board, it's quite useful in tweakin if accompanied w/ other tools like memset.

heck, u can even try to use d onboard switch (EZ OC switch) to oc w/o sweat. (not recommended thou)

basically u can just raise d cpu multiplier w/o touching any other things except increase vcore (if d system is not stable after oc).

further question can ask around here, i'm sure d gurus here are willin to help...

play with the multiplier and small increament of vcore 1st.... just get the hang of it 1st.....

but it's whack! me alot.he wnna spend the money around rm6k.

other part i think i can imagine but ur all can suggest me a board am2 or am3 since ram ddr3 on par with ddr2 price.
