Some time last year I was in Penang, after eating at a famous nasi kandar restaurant (forgot name) I was walking through the shops looking for shirts when I passed a window of a shop selling handphones, hp accessories and prepaid.. they had boxes of what seemed to be Guitar Hero: On Tour fake peripherals. It does not carry an Activision/Red Octane or any recognisable company logo.. the box's graphics and colors are rather faded (low on ink?) unlike a real GH box where it would be fiery and vibrant. I don't own an NDS but I asked the price anyway out of curiosity.. the guy say that thing costs RM80.

Point: May not seem important but if you buy a Guitar Hero: On Tour peripheral from anyone like in Garage Sales or eBay without a box make sure it carries the Activision or Red Octane logo on the item.. if not it may be a fake item.

I'm guessing they had to cut price to prevent people from buying the ahem ones instead.. I'm guessing people download the game from uTorrent and then buy the fake peripheral.. but now that the original set is only RM80 +/- in PA.. I feel like getting a NDS now xD

Thanks for noting this out as well, hope future fake GH:OT buyers will try get the original discount one on PA instead.

It's a selling tactic.. when you hear 'limited time' you think "I must get it fast! Later too late I rugi besar!". But RM150 for it is still not bad.. when GH:OT it started at RM250 I think.

Yah thats the not original one

When I was doing price survey for NDS GH:OT, I saw the fake grip before, and I asked the shop owner if it works with the game and even he confessed that it doesn't work, so the fake one is a really non-working fake clone of the GH grip.

I've been trying to get GH game for NDS for the cheapest price but holy cow, less than RM80 at P-A? Must get it... All the places I've surveyed cost between Rm200 - Rm230 (inclusive grip)

The original Activision peripheral will be available here very soon at RM79. It doesn't come with the game. Likewise, a PS2 GH3 guitar is also coming in after CNY for RM79. Comes in a plain white box. These are original Activision ones, not the fakes!

If anyone's interested, I'm taking orders. Limited stocks though so let me know as soon as you can.

I have been asking a lot of shops for the original grip only but they all shook their head, so it's great news that Ooj is selling the original grip But is it like just a one time thing (means very limited, so if it finished, then can't order already)? I just ordered the 20 bucks GH:OT on P-A, and just in case in the future my grip is broken, will you still be able to take order Ooj?

While on the same GH topic, anyone knows where to get or have ever seen the guitar controller playable for the PC version of GH: Legends of Rock?

PC game? Yes I've seen it before in a Challenger store in Singapore (Funan DigitaLife Mall). But in Malaysia.. no.. sorry.. but I've seen tons of people modding their PS2 guitars to play on the PC version and even in the freeware rip-off of GH called 'Frets on Fire'

So far the sound in GH:OT sounded ok to me but then again I didn't use headphone, so could barely hear anything. But can't complain much, ndsl is something 'light' so I wouldn't be expecting psp or wii quality lol

I use headphone, cause of the same reasons.

but its a quite ok game for gh on the go. but seriously want to scream ROCK OUT when want to active star power lol.
