I say, a fine Ibanez you got there!

I agree with the others on the pickup change. smile.gif About which pickup, it will be entirely up to you. There are many sound clips online.

Unless the trem is really getting in the way of your playability, just getting it blocked would be just fine. Cheapest solution, and you retain the Floyd Rose look.

SE Guitars can get your trem blocked for you if you wish, just PM me!

passive pickups are also shredder's main choice wut. infact more shredders use passive pickups. Normally the active pickups are famous among the riffers like slipknot, metallica, blablabla.

if u cant keep up with the picking, then its the picking technique ur doing. moderate pickups like dimarzio tone zones or duncan jb's are good enough for shreddings. if ur using the ibanez stock pickup, i think its a bit ugly sounding la cuz those pickups dont have lotta precission when ur picking, its all just muddy.

i'm currently using a duncan Invader SH-8 on my bridge and duncan Jazz SH-2n on my neck, ibanez S series. those pickups are good for riffing and also soloing. If u like pinch harmonics, i say go for the invaders man, its the most recommendable pickup for pinch harmonics in my opinion.
