It's a LINUX Operating System. A good one. Better than XP, Vista and whatsoever coming out by Microsoft because it is VERY customizeable and most important, it is open source (No need to pay for license). thumbup.gif

But i must warn you... It's completely different from Windows. So, if you are new to Ubuntu, u might find it a little difficult to use. But hey, it worth to learn. Really it is... nod.gif

There's even a Ubuntu theme for Windows (not sure for which version) but really you should get the real thing.

the real thing is hard 2 use by newbies who have been customed to windows since 98 biggrin.gif

it was very difficult for me at first but the effort to learn is worthwhile smile.gif

u will experience alot of different things about it and games will definitely be less than windows

u might also want to try programs such as Crossover, which allows ubuntu to install windows programs

Well, from what I know, from the different available Linux distros (versions Of Linux OS), Ubuntu would be the most newbie friendly.

So, if you're new to Linux and want to give it a try, Ubuntu would be a good choice. smile.gif

If there's anything else, you can ask for more info in

It's definitely one of the more easier distro and good community support. Btw ts, if you're interested go for KDE as it looks kinda similar to Windows environment wink.gif
