Something is wrong with TrekBuddy. Yesterday noon, called a friend, after he put down the phone, my phone go nuts, damn laggy.
When I tried scout around whats the prob, i pressed on the Media button, the photos showing: 12,000+ photos....
Then I tried restarting the phone, damn laggy as well, and when i click into media, it took around 10 minutes for it to update the content...
After spending around 2 hours checking, found out that it's TrekBuddy's maps that is causing it. Got frustrated, deleted it.
Use the tar version of the atlas (run maketar.bat to create it). Tarred atlas would pack all those png tiles into a few tar archives files, and as result, the atlas tiles won't be shown in the Media that causes the slow down. Other benefits of using tarred atlas are space saving because it reduces wasted cluster problem in FAT filesystem caused by the numerous small size png files, and much faster transfer to the memory card as well. When I tried scout around whats the prob, i pressed on the Media button, the photos showing: 12,000+ photos....
