Actually X1 was released 30th Sept 2008 which was on schedule. They delayed P990 for almost a year though

im guessing it will take longer den ever and by time its out its no longer hot.

I don't think they need more time than the announced release coz it's based on Symbian S60 which is already quite established. They've already changed their plan from building it based on the new standardised Symbian platform to avoid delay, and judging from some previews from a few months ago, Satio is already stable and smooth so I doubt there'll be anymore delay

seems that i'm not the only one encountering this problem. i have the same prob as register999. cant hear when making calls, can only hear when im using handsfree.
mine's an AP set and im lazy to bring it back to the shop for warranty. may i ask, how much would it roughly cost if i send to shops in PJ area?

got to say that the sony ericson centre is aint not that good...i was referring to the midland set. Sent to plaza berjaya for quotation on changing the front naviagtion keypad...quoted with some price...then ok lor...sent in, need to wait 3 days...still ok, then hand itchy go and call the SC in amcorp mall, WOW...they quote me different price which is cheaper by half and only need 2 hours to finish change...WOW WOW WOW...that is wat midland provide...which will force people to get an AP phone instead....

thats why we already said here that ap and ori handsets are the same except for their warranty. With ap, you'll get a wider choices( both the ap company and the shop) to get your handset fixed. I am a Ap user and i changed my front and numbered keypad twice with no cost(you must prove that it is a problem who is not your doing first la).

Really pissed off with this phone model..
this is the worst phone i've ever had..
not yet reach a year of usage, already sent for warranty claim for more than 6 times.
all because the same problem..which is whether the keypad malfunction and speaker(receiver) problem..

do most of the user here got the same problem over and over like mine?

i think yours would be under the batch which has the receiver)speaker) problem .
