Just finished Spin by Robert Charles Wilson; one of the most satisfying works of science-fiction I've read in a long time.
About to start on The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie.

Just finished Joe Abercrombie's The Blade Itself. Before starting on the sequel (Before They Are Hanged) I'm taking a detour into China Mieville's Kraken.
@reveur Have got all the titles you mentioned queued up in my "To-Read" list for later this year.. Has anyone tried Wolfsangel and/or The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms? |

@snowcrash
Anything non-traditional is a plus for me, so will look forward to Kingdoms As for Abercrombie's First Law Trilogy, all 3 parts should be readily available [The Blade Itself, Before They Are Hanged, Last Argument Of Kings]. I haven't finished the 3rd book yet but I'd consider the trilogy as a whole (so far) to be well above average though not quite deserving of the accolades it has garnered. If you're feeling adventurous, just try out the first book and if you like the style, pick up the rest. This post has been edited by requiem73: Jan 18 2011, 06:44 AM |
