The Hunt For Red October by Tom Clancy
My first Tom Clancy, very technical and Tom Clancy does not shortchange when it comes to facts in fictitious writing, somewhat enjoyable because it is a lot realistic but my mind wanders off not wanting to understand naval jargons and abbreviations.
Might go for another Tom Clancy but I’m not hopeful of enjoying it in future.
Agree with what you've said! It takes few serious reads before one can start enjoying books with such jargons/abbreviation. I've read 'Against All Enemies' few years ago. Not bad actually, since I'm into those political thriller or army related books My first Tom Clancy, very technical and Tom Clancy does not shortchange when it comes to facts in fictitious writing, somewhat enjoyable because it is a lot realistic but my mind wanders off not wanting to understand naval jargons and abbreviations.
Might go for another Tom Clancy but I’m not hopeful of enjoying it in future.
