finished the 1st to 6th books from the Clifton Chronicles by Jeffrey Archer.

1. Only Time Will Tell
2. The Sins of the Father
3. Best Kept Secret
4. Be Careful What You Wish For
5. Mightier Than the Sword
6. Cometh the Hour

whoever likes Jeffrey Archer's books or enjoys thrillers should definitely read this series. took me average 2 days to finish one novel because they are just too unputdownable!

the 7th book "This Was a Man" is released but the hardcover is costing a bomb in bookstores hence i have not bought them yet. am waiting for the paperback. and seriously i cannot wait to finish them!

finished This Was a Man already! final book from the Clifton Chronicles.
if you are a fan of Jeffrey Archer, must read this series, 7 books in total.
he took 7 years to finish 7 books, and the story starts from around 1920s to 1990s, about 70 years.
it was quite intense to finish all 7 books at one go, but the advantage is you won't lose track of the story / characters (plenty of them).
got quite attached to all the main characters in the books, and got a book hangover after the last book.
need to find another good book which can cure this hangover.

finished reading Tokyo Station by Martin Cruz Smith. also called December 6.
the story is from 1920s to 1940s. based in Tokyo, before the bomb of Pearl Harbour.
quite an interesting read, about the life in Tokyo during that period, the war, and how the main character (an American) survived in Tokyo.

also finished So Many Ways to Begin by Jon McGregor. i can't decide whether i like this book because the writing style was not something i'm used to. but the story and the plot was not bad.

One of my favourite childhood classics smile.gif I read the abridged version in primary school then discovered the unabridged one later.

Currently reading My Name is Red by Orhan Pamuk. I started this last year actually but put it aside after a few chapters for another book tongue.gif Now giving it my full attention. Murder mystery during the age of Turkish illumination. c:

I think Jo was my favourite too. She's the eldest and the sensible one right?

Hehe this murder story is different from the usual murder/thriller/crime genre. If you've read Asian writers, especially Middle Eastern ones, their style of writing is very poetic. Sometimes it feels lengthy when they're describing one thing in a few pages tongue.gif but very rich in imagery on the other hand.

Currently re-reading 'Gunn's Golden Rules' by Tim Gunn and 'Mentaliti Jamban' by Khairul Abdullah. Targeting to finish reading by this weekend as they're both easy reads smile.gif

Finally got time to manage finished the classic Little Women, the plot and characters development was good and end an open way (not until I went to google the ending and I'm unsatisfied with 'that ending' because Jo my favourite one and Beth came to next!)

Now going to start to read a bit my chinese book collection: A chain of short stories about their distance(Chinese translation)
