finished reading A Teaspoon of Earth and Sea by Dina Nayeri

it's about the story of an Iranian girl dreaming of living in America and her love for Western culture.

it's an interesting read. it shows the differences between both countries and cultures.

The sequel's by a different writer?

Edit: Currently reading Patrick Gale's Gentleman's Relish and after that, Orhan Pamuk's My Name is Red.

yes. Tilly Bagshawe is quite famous for writing a few of Sidney Sheldon's novels. not sure whether she was inspired by Sidney Sheldon or continued his works. but i read a few of her Sidney Sheldon series and they were pretty good. although some reviews said that her style was not very similar to Sidney Sheldon. I think the stories were not too bad.

finished the 1st to 6th books from the Clifton Chronicles by Jeffrey Archer.

1. Only Time Will Tell
2. The Sins of the Father
3. Best Kept Secret
4. Be Careful What You Wish For
5. Mightier Than the Sword
6. Cometh the Hour

whoever likes Jeffrey Archer's books or enjoys thrillers should definitely read this series. took me average 2 days to finish one novel because they are just too unputdownable!

the 7th book "This Was a Man" is released but the hardcover is costing a bomb in bookstores hence i have not bought them yet. am waiting for the paperback. and seriously i cannot wait to finish them!

finished This Was a Man already! final book from the Clifton Chronicles.
if you are a fan of Jeffrey Archer, must read this series, 7 books in total.
he took 7 years to finish 7 books, and the story starts from around 1920s to 1990s, about 70 years.
it was quite intense to finish all 7 books at one go, but the advantage is you won't lose track of the story / characters (plenty of them).
got quite attached to all the main characters in the books, and got a book hangover after the last book.
need to find another good book which can cure this hangover.

finished reading Tokyo Station by Martin Cruz Smith. also called December 6.
the story is from 1920s to 1940s. based in Tokyo, before the bomb of Pearl Harbour.
quite an interesting read, about the life in Tokyo during that period, the war, and how the main character (an American) survived in Tokyo.

also finished So Many Ways to Begin by Jon McGregor. i can't decide whether i like this book because the writing style was not something i'm used to. but the story and the plot was not bad.

1. What the Dog Saw by Malcolm Gladwell
2. Freakonomics by Steven D. Levitt

enjoyed reading both of them. but i liked What the Dog Saw better. i like the way Malcolm Gladwell writes. currently reading his other book i.e. The Tipping Point.
