Wanna ask somthing la,

i dont know if this question already being discuss or not,

i wanna ask how to copy sound like some of the great artis, like Malmsteem, herman li, M.Angelo.

wanna know, what the effect needed, and wich amp suit well to produse this sound or maybe pickups

Right now am using some beginner stuff, so wanna buy thing capable to creat above sound,

My Eqq:-

Ibenez S320
Roland micro
Prince amp 50 watts (nearly caput thingking to buy new)
Zoom GIX


Please adivise, hope u all can give me great tips for it.

before buying anything else, have u explored your zoom? play around with the settings (distortion/overdrive/eq/filters etc) & understand how it affects the sound with your existing setup. i'm still using my 10 yr old zoom & find is ok to get the sound i want. if you can't find it, then only consider to buy something

any tips for combining the effect from the Zoom GIX ?

there is no rules in finding your sound. it depends on the songs u wanna play. for most rock songs, i only set basic distortion or overdrive & EQs. put wah-wah & u can play sweet child solo already

actually u can fing online for the gIx setup
u can try google-ing it
thats what i did
and now i have many set ups
metallica enter sandman chorus intro
for example...
there are lot actually if u really find

Even if you CAN get the sounds, it'll be almost impossible to nail their technique. Alot of their tone comes from their fingers, like the way they attack the strings, the picking positions, the amount of force they use, the barring method......

i think between the guitarist u name...most possible u can nail their sound is herman li n m.angelo....malmsteen i dont think so...maybe can la but hard...malmsteen sound really resonate the sound which comes from fender through marshall.....see man kidal of malaysia....he is using fender and marshall....plus malsteen got this special pickup made for him from dimarzio
