Was probably my favourite author when I was 12. Started with 'The Client', and then read everything he came out (including the old books) with until 2001. I've only read the King of Torts pass that year.

Grisham is simplistic in his writing. Pleasant to read, but nothing more than that. As I grew older I found his formulaic writing to be lacking, hence me not reading his books anymore. Still, he has taken to writing beyond the usual law thrillers. Very tempted to pick up 'Playing for Pizza' but its so expensive for a book that thin. Will definitely borrow it if I can find it in a library.

I only read 'The Last Juror'.
Yeah , good intro , nice ending and pleasant to read.
I can still remember the last sentences , "I took my pen and for a long time stared at the blank notepad. Slowly with a great agony , I began the last obituary". Something like that. smile.gif
Simply gorgeous!
This is really an enthralling story.

So far I have read only one book from this author, which is "The Firm".

I like the way he presents the story and the plots. Really an unpredictable end, and just when you thought you have seen it all, another susprises pop up. rclxms.gif

I see that there is a lot of good reviews with "The Testament" in Amazon web site. Interested to buy this book next. What do you guys think?

Yea, IMO I also feel the same, the syok feeling wear off very fast. You should try the Pelican Brief, A time to Kill, the Rainmaker, the Runaway Jury or the Firm. These are quite brilliant. They were all made into movies.

I've some for sale:

1. Last Juror
2. The Firm
3. A Time to Kill
4. The Innocent Man
5. Playing for Pizza
6. The Runaway Jury
7. The Chamber
8. The King of Torts
