In the modern world of communication, the provision of multimedia and communications is the biggest assets to the community to be able to fully utilise the technology for better good of their living standards. Cybercafés are taking up opportunity to provide such services and access to the public especially the Internet.

IMAX cybercafé began their operations in Ipoh Garden East in year 2000, with internet access and local area network to provide multimedia access to their users. In year 2003, they expanded their business in Ipoh Parade with capacity of 92 PCs. Today, IMAX have more than 10 outlets which consists of over 1000 PCs overall providing full range of services on Internet and multimedia access. They have become one of the largest cybercafé establishment in Perak.

IMAX 's objective is to be the forefront of exploiting the rapid development and expansion of information technologies as well as the multimedia accesses by encouraging the usage of such technologies to the public. IMAX provides a wide range of services to their customers which enable users to:

Accessing the internet with high speed ADSL and SDSL connections.
Working on private paperwork or projects with user friendly word processing software.
Documents or school homework printout and downloading images from the internet.
Customise their laptops, handphones and even PDAs with downloaded softwares and programs.
Basic computing problems and knowledge assistance seeking.
During our past, we have successfully organising events such as;

10,000 hours of internet access for senior citizens on October 2005 co-organised with Lions Club and MCA Ipoh.
State event competition at Ipoh Parade on April 2005.
Game players gathering event with Terra ICT (E-Games) at our Ipoh Parade outlet on November 2005.
National Warcraft 3 competition game event of DotA Competition by Sendi Mutiara at Medan Ipoh Outlet on May 2006.
National Goundbound event by MOL at IMAX Medan Ipoh on June 2006.
1st Imax Cyber Tourment organize at Ipoh Parade on 5th-6th January 2008.
IMAX Cybercafés strength span a wide range of services and comfortable environment. Our staffs are provided basic training on computer troubleshooting and able to provide useful information to customer regarding internet and softwares. Special customized environment and furnitures such as lightning brightness, sofas and acceptable temperature provided a more relaxed feel to our customer.
