I have read around LYN and on the internet ... About bass guitars ... I have quite a few on my mind but don't know which is the better as the pickups and such are different . I hope LYNERS can help me to solve this puzzle as I am getting a bass guitar soon . My budget may be around Rm2000 . But I'm living in Australia ... So my budget would be AUD 1000 ...

I would like a good and decent guitar which can last me for around 3 years or more . Won't need a REALLY GOOD brand as I only practice at my home .

IbanezSR300
EDBEDB550

I'm interested in something like this . I would also like to buy a good 10 watt-amplifier which can allow me to train in my house ... I don't want those brand which will produce ''ZZZZZZZ'' sound during playing . I would also record myself and do a song cover and upload to youtube . Any recommendation on these amps ?

Your help is greatly appreciated !

You may just give me the price of the bass in Malaysia and I hope you will also provide me the specs and pictures .

I want : 4 strings
Black / White or something attracting
Preferred black fretboard with dots on them just like Sr300
With a good pickup

Between SR300 and EDB550 ... I have no idea whats the difference between their pickups too rclxub.gif

Hope you guys can help me out ~! rclxms.gif

Depends on what style of bass you want to play.. If you play more of a rock bass type of fingerstyle/pick thing, then the SR300 is the one for you.. It's got very low action and thin neck for fast fretting and tone wise, it's very versatile with its style sweeper EQ.. However, the feel isn't that geared towards slap and pop as the action at the body is just too low for the right hand to reach the strings..

The EDB however is designed towards funk/slap/pop style with slightly higher action at the body and wider neck. It is also a lot more expensive as it comes with light ash body, Jatoba/Bubinga neck and Seymour Duncan pickups... Btw, both these basses come with active EQs

Basically I want a cheap and good bass to start off with . I perhaps I can get SR300 first then mod it up when I need to ? Well It's 585AUD in here which is Rm1100+ MYR ... Is it worth for ? I have read it on the internet that SR300 is a good bass for starters . I like to play Anime songs and some english songs . Rock and anything .

They are both very good basses and if you are playing normal rock style bass, then the SR300 is a very good buy.. It's very affordable at around RM1200 here..

Sorry...Not EDB550 anymore ... Its Squier Fender P Bass Special .

P Bass Special

It's around 439AUD ... Is it good or worth it to invest ? I basically like it cause of the design and color ... It has the design and color that I want ... But I don't know about the tone and stuff
