to me it's great for a beginner, i have tried ninja 250r. Cant deny that ninja 250r is better build and finishing, but Blades aren't far behind.

ninja 250r is design for riding style, easy maneuver, light, it look alot smaller compare to blade.

if u got a blade, jst remember you are riding on a 250cc not a 600cc bike... so u dun jst go TOP SPEED all the way balik kampung. hehe.

nothing bad with this bike except for the 5-speed gearbox. other than that it's a proven brand in korea; hyosung.

hopefully naza is more serious in maintaining service and the availability of parts for its rebadged bikes IN THE LONG RUN. if i'm not mistaken the only service centre is in Kg. Baru. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

I just owned this bike ( Naza Blade 250R a.k.a Hyosung 250GT ) year 2009 and from my opinions and others:

Pros:

1. Really big ~!...feels like you ride a 1000cc superbike.

2. Got really superb GRAWWW sound compare to other 250cc bikes -> blade 250 sound like Ducati Monster bike. cool2.gif

3. Got really strong V-Twin engine. ( The V configuration reduces the overall engine length and weight compared to an equivalent straight engine (the straight engine or in-line engine is an internal-combustion engine with all cylinders aligned in one row.) The v-twin configuration allows for optimum torque for a given displacement...POWER) rclxm9.gif

4. Big tires ~!

5. Top speed can reach 180km/h - 210km/h (if you have light body weight, ride & setting perfectly the bike) rclxm9.gif

6. Got cool clear digital meter

7. Front double disk brake ~!...got massive stopping power~!....when i ride in 170++ km/h , I just pull the brake using 2 fingers only and it stop instantly. rclxm9.gif

8. Very bright head/front light .... like a car light.

9. Great Fuel consumption compare to other 250cc bikes. ( full tank -> 17 litres for 400++ km ) notworthy.gif

10. Adjustable foot rest.

Cons:

1. Really heavy ( 170 ++ kg)...got one time the bike fell down and I can't get it up by myself...need 3 people to stand it up... sweat.gif icon_question.gif

2. 5 speed only.... (Yamaha RXZ and 125Z also got 6 Speed)

3. Not solid enoughh....too many hole at the engine room. ( i prefer Naza can put full fairing engine cover )

4. Using bulb light at the rear lamp and signal lamp. ( I prefer LED light )

Between entry superbike (250cc) -> Hyosung 250GT and Kawasaki 250R...my professional superbike mechanic said:

Hyosung 250GT better in :

- Speed
- Performance
- Fuel Consumption
- Stability

Kawasaki 250R better in :

- Handling
- Material
- Durability
- Spare Parts

so....above just my opinion and i refer to other specialist also. It's better you try by your self and ask the pro. Your money your thing

for sure bro. the 250R is far lighter but the materials is questionable as it is locally assembled.

250GT has a bit for "pulling" feeling, (erm camne nak explain ni) coz of the low end torque. I felt that the 250R was a bit lacking here. But once the 250R got going, wow, smooth.

yup yup...u were rite there....in my experience with my ride....I already tour every states in Malaysia ( except Sarawak and Sabah) and still this bike make me proud because it don't make any problem during my tour and still I'm using it everyday to work.

Kawasaki 250R.... it's cheap and awarded the most value superbikes among other 250cc superbikes.

bro, my fren said who owned a er-6n ..... this ER version bike not suitable for cornering because of the mono shock. the mono shock is not at center of the bike body. it at right side of the body so when we do cornering at right side, it slightly heavy and hard.

one more, its 650cc but the top speed of the bike is so low.... approximately 170km/h to 200km/h only.....even superbike 250cc also can catch up with the bike.

the bike is suitable for urban riding means in the city and high way - long distance traveling.

for hardcore riders, its soooo not for them. sweat.gif

hi bladers...last week i went to 1 of the naza dealer and wanna grab blade 250r due to the temptation of the promotion price drool.gif drool.gif all other branch already out of stock but this branch have 2 display unit left..1 black and 1 dual color..i've heard that the model before 2008 have lotsa problem, thus i'm kinda worried which 1 to choose..the black 1 or the dual color..the black 1 have silver chassis and the dual color have black chassis..i think i wanna go with black chassis but the RPM meter background is black in color, which i was told that the newer one was fitted with a white background..anyone can rectify whether blade dual color with black chassis and black RPM meter is post or pre 2008 model? i'm afraid if i choose the wrong model..huhu...thanks...

choose the black chasis....the silver is the old model from 2006......about the digital meter....the white BG is the newest....the black BG maybe the earliest batch of black chasis....but u can change it later at NAZA.

Last time I asked a Naza Bike showroom in Feb '10, they said this April will come in. But April have come and gone, still nothing. And also there is no official news about this from Naza. So I'm guessing fourth quarter of this year earliest.

If you really got cash money to buy now, put it in a fixed deposit first. When the new bike finally come out, take out the money and buy it. And with the extra cash from the FD interest, you can get your new bike an instant exhaust upgrade smile.gif .

nice! blades got face-lifted!

i believe these are the new 250 blades:

faired: http://www.motorcycle.com/specs/hyosung/sp...10/gt/250r.html
naked: http://www.motorcycle.com/specs/hyosung/st...010/gt/250.html

does any1 know the differences in price & spec of new '10 compare to current '09 blades?

the sales person in naza mentioned that 250r will most probably be in the range of 21k to 22k but i see no reason it'll be in that range cos tat is way too expensive for a local made hyosung rebadged bike, most probably it'll be around 18k just like d old price.the old model 650r at promo price are 19k+,dunno i should grab this bike or just wait for the new model..

Added on May 9, 2010, 9:07 amthe different between old and 2010 version is that they are fuel injection instead of using carburetor, better fuel consumption and slightly increase in power, lighter, plus minor improvement here and there, ofcos u'll need to pay more for this

ic, 20k+ does consider pricey since other jap's CKD 250cc are about the same price.

are the blades CKD? or they are CBU with naza vinly? i have been told they are assembled in china, not sure tho.

09' 650 is 19k? wow thats a steal! go grab one and mod it with '10 parts (tank, fairing, seats, etc) lol.

saw this from another fourm, my heart go pounding again brows.gif

As far as I know, all Naza bikes have been sold out. We'll have to wait for the new models to come in if we want to buy.

You mean the ad from Kapar Motor? I think they simply say la. How did they even know the price? Naza haven't even announced its release yet. In my opinion, they put this price up as an estimate only.

Let's just wait patiently till the bike comes out smile.gif . But I can guarantee that the price will definitely be cheaper than any other CKD bike around with the same engine capacity.

My opinion la...

250cc (naked version)
- underpowered
- low top speed (mine max at 140km/h)
- good FC
- low maintenance (some parts can use Suzuki parts)
- heavy (shares same body as 650. just can see that the engine is much smaller)
- cruises comfortably at 110km/h
- hate the stand (mine stands a bit straight so it accidentally fell over a couple of times)
- Shinko tyres that came with it not good for wet roads
- not that loud V-Twin sound (if you like V-Twin sound. It's different from your 250 Kawasaki ZXR)
- Naza parts can be quite costly but there are alternatives.

It's a 250cc bike that's low maintenance so what can your friend expect?

Recommended one of uncles to get the 650 version (which he got one 2nd hand) and he's happy with it. No problems, can keep up with the big boys. Just not-that branded compared to the big boys.

Might or might not sell mine off once I feel like upgrading (still using B2 and lazy to upgrade). Overall a nice daily town/city commute bike.

Is it a good bike? Well, IMHO it is despite its shortcomings.

initially hyosung designed a frame that can be fitted with both 250 & 650 engines, but later they found out the frame is not suitable for 650 so they made another frame for 650. and let the 250 accommodate the old frame.

thats y the 250 comet/blade has a heavy but solid chassis. 30-40kgs heavier than the other naked 250. (comet has steel frame, while jap bikes have alloy frames that are lighter).
good thing is that it feels & looks like a big bike.

me with my Blade R 250 - year 2009 ( with faring):

- my top speed can reach 170 km/h (with stock equipment) with my weight 70kg....if i change the equipment...it can go until 190 km/h - 200km/h rclxms.gif

- blade cornering is the best in it class if you upgrade the tires. (shinko tires are great when it warm or the road is dry and hot....not suitable in raining day )

- got spec of superbike 600cc - 1000cc such as dual front pump brake, high level chasis, digital meter, adjustable foot stand etc.

- sound similar to Ducati V Twin engine ( Ducati Monster bike )

- heavier and more steady ( if you get struck buy a car/ kapchai....you cant fell down easily...if you know how to maintain it laa)

- if you riding with a passenger at the back....you will look steady and balance ( compare to Kawasaki 250R...the bike is small...look funny when ride it with 2 person)

- long distance and short distance reliability ( i used my bike to go to my work place every day and once riding it to Phuket, Thailand)

- other than that its so worth to buy a Hyosung GT Comet 250 @ Blade 250R with the price of RM 20,000.

- maintenance is not so cheap and not so expensive ( of couse laa...if you want cheaper everything...go for kapchai brows.gif )

p.s: its so big until a policeman stop me because he said i got B2 license not B full for the bike.....he confuse and shock...he taught my Blade is 600cc - 1000cc bike ....hahahaha rclxm9.gif

I've tested kawa 250R last week, the power is really just normal, but is enough for me since i dont ride fast on a bike.

Now i'm dillema to choose between a 18k secondhand kawa (i think it is with yoshimura exhaust) or wait for the damn naza blade EFI (Still no news on the release date) this bike has been out of stock for 2 months already, damn it.

I just went to Naza showroom last saturday at KL and heard d sales man said... they already exported some of the latest blade efi to Arab and suffer some leaking issue, so they delayed the launch in Malaysia by 2 months until July or August and fixing those leaking issue at the factory.

Oh.. no pic la.. but it looks a bit ugly tongue.gif
Maybe that's cos he used some really small ones.

Why do you need the side storage boxes for?

I think they're too small for helmets and makes the bike harder to maneuver if you use it for daily commute. If you're using it for touring then it makes sense but then a 250cc for touring isn't really ideal. I feel the Blade 250 is more suited as a city commute bike with weekend day rides with friends (using the same displacement engine). Mixing with the big boys, you might find it hard to keep up.

Another reason why it's very good as a city commute bike because it's pretty low maintenance. Oil Filter, you can opt to use the one from Suzuki VS-something (think its the scooter) which cost only RM25 or so. Oil change it usually 1+3/4 bottle of 1L.

Is it a good buy?
I think that's more or less the price for a used Naza Blade 250. You can always nego further... Also, check the bike.

Also, you should purchase at least the following:
- Riding Jacket
- Proper Full Face Helmet that fits you
- Riding Gloves

the bike is heavy for a 250... since you're new having a box behind may throw your weight off balance... Hmm.. for raincoat and stuff, you can always get a tank bag.

if you want to travel in the city...i recommend you ...blade 250 naked.......250R not so suitable to ride in the city due to extreme position of race riding ( bow down position ).....soon or later you will get hurt at the back and a lil cramp at the arms but if you love ride fast and treat corners, I suggest you 250R.....its so damn good in lapping and cornering until touch your knees ( if you use right tires lah ) rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

if you want to travel in the city...i recommend you ...blade 250 naked.......250R not so suitable to ride in the city due to extreme position of race riding ( bow down position ).....soon or later you will get hurt at the back and a lil cramp at the arms but if you love ride fast and treat corners, I suggest you 250R.....its so damn good in lapping and cornering until touch your knees ( if you use right tires lah ) rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

thanks for the advise. but 250r with fairing more sexy la..haha

will see and try first. perhaps will just get 2nd hand, if you know anyone want to sell their blade, inform me! smile.gif

Hi to all the sifus and masters out there, I just got my B-full license and currently searching for a bike. Came across Naza Blade 650R which is really cheap for a 600cc bike, but I have a colleague with the same bike and he stranded on the highway twice. A lot of online blade riders seem quite happy with this bike, so i would like to ask, is there a lot of problem with this bike? Should i get it?

Other reviews of the Hyosung gave encouraging comments, so i would like to seek some confirmation from all the masters out there, thanks smile.gif

I'm not 650 cc blade bikers but I knew some....,from my experience, most of them are satisfied with their bike....actually it depends on our luck....some of us can get fully satisfied product but for some of us....its not our luck when we get the product broken shortly after we use it....not every bike will produced in perfect.......it depends on our luck...even we buy a car also..... hmm.gif

if you got extra money....i advice you to buy other brand (such as Kawasaki ER-6F) due to it expensiveness on the spare parts. Kawasaki or the brand got cheaper spare parts and got third party parts also. So you can save a lot in maintenance diff from Blades.

but if you want to feel V-Twin engine power ( similar to Ducati/Aprilia engine ) or similar western technology, extreme maneuvering, big bike look and awesome sound, I advice you the Blade bikes.

Overall, Blades are better for beginners and a great bike to create new experience icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

what caused your colleague to be stranded on the highway?

I recommended my uncle to get one (Blade 650) some time back and he got a fantastic deal for a used one... so far he's been very happy with it.. no fuss, no issues, it can keep up with the branded big boys and he's been to as far as Koh Samui on it and he's turning 60 next week.

Wah, went as far as Koh Samui, that's amazing smile.gif well, i can't remember what was it that cause him to be stranded, it was due to some faulty parts. Well, i guess it really have to see a person's luck. If unlucky, then even buying a branded big bikes will have trouble too smile.gif

New update ~!

I was on Charity Ride organized by Bikers68j Club and Naza on 9 july - 11 july. We convoy from K.l - Perak - Kelantan - Terengganu - Pahang - K.L and about 1800km overall ride. In the convoy also included together one prototype of new Naza Blade EFi 250cc naked bike that they was testing for Naza RnD.

From my observations while riding with it, I found out that :

1. the bike tail was so damn hot and very light compare to previous one.

2. the engine sound is very smooth and low noise compare to previous one.

3. the length of the bike body are reduced a bit.

4. the bike height a bit high.

5. got hazard light.

6. new side mirrors.

Unfortunately:

- the bike are slower than previous one. (the rider already full throttle when us are just half of the throttle)

- cornering was so disappointed (shaking when make harsh corner)

- the bike front absorber are so smooth and fragile (not really good actually)

- the last day of the convoy, the bike jammed due to sudden high temperature.

Hello all, I was actually considering Kawasaki 250r until I found Naza Blade 250r, damn it looks good!

According to the price from this Link,
http://blogs.nst.com.my/man-on-wheels/bike...ces-in-malaysia

Naza Blade 250 Cost 14988
Naza Blade 250r Cost 18400

May i know what is the difference between 250 and 250r?

Also, Naza Blade 250r and Hyosung GT250r is the same right? Why do they name it the other way?

One more question, i'm 168cm tall, am i too short for this bike?

better wait for a moment coz Naza still doing there testing and RnD on the bike. The bike still unstable.

FYI Naza EFi is use same engine like previous but different fuel injection component only. Still using 5 speed not like US or UK, there using 6 speed and totally using different engine.

i personally saw this bike in PRJ Indonesia, very cheap made if u go closer, far away,, WOW stunning.

the engine looks so small, i doubt its capability. the only thing that make it looks like a 250 is the fairing alone.

bro, which one fast? the kips or the megelli? i thought 250 megelli not out yet? so far only 125 right?

i think kipps is way faster than the 250cc magelli, blade and ninja 250r.

but i could not get myself to buy kipps, coz it got good brand(kawa), good speed cheap sparepart and somehow cheap??

takut ada udang disebalik spageti lah

anyone knows the downside to kipps?? rclxub.gif

i could only found few, need 2T oil, bad FC, the preeenngg sound and emition(this one i dont really care)haha

really that bad? is it mechanical problem?

well there could possibly 1 more bike added to your purchase list, i heard cbr 250 is coming early next year. not sure when will reach msia soil. its not launched in jap yet, thailand forum claimed launching within this few months, and could be a single cylinder doh.gif .... i cant figure out why is it a single cylinder, i do hope they use the V-twin VTR 250 engine

anyway these are just rumors, it has been around since early of this year and im glad the japs like kawi & honda are back to the 250 which had been abandoned for more than 10yrs.

For Blade 250N i'm not sure, maybe 150km/h..more resistance because of lack of fairing compared to 250R thus lower top speed.
My personal top speed on Blade 250R is 165km/h at 10.5k rpm. Max berfore entering redline. Video of Blade 250R topspeed (not mine)

can we convert the low handle position of the full fairing bike to be as high as the naked bike? or vice versa? I dun like naked bike design but I hate the low handle position of the full fairing which is uncomfortable.

anyone can say this bike got problem..that bike got problem without knowing the rumors are correct or not...or knowing what is the real technical problem of the bike...

so far...me and few other knowing friends who owned this Blade 250R efi are happy with the bike ..the bike is fine and showing no problems.

for these kind of 400cc or below bike guys better maintain the bike nicely.
change EO every 3K instate 5K.

my personal opinion (dont flame me tongue.gif ):

FJR1300 still the best, heard the price are right now! ( i used to ride 2, both 04' model, but prefer 06' & above)

the upcoming beast: BMW K1600GT
specs: http://www.bmw-motorrad.com/com/en/index.html
but pricing abit turn off sad.gif (RM160K) launching april 2011.

Puchong, you need to go to the one at the end of Puchong (just before the toll to CyberJaya/Putrajaya)

or else, go to Old Klang Road (Petaling Utama Bike Shop or nearby bike shops)

It's the one where you turn into the Tractor's Malaysia road that goes towards some hulu part of Puchong and a toll that goes to Cyberjaya.

Yea.. thats the one... I think.

I just bought one for RM16,800 OTR....I know some seems to put 18K++++....close to Honda CBR250 off-road price already....I went to a Naza Sales store...got one showroom in Kampung Baru...

They say they're bringing Megelli at around RM14K++....but reading reviews it seems like the 250 is just an expanded version of 125....

Yes I know that new bike is any day better than a second hand bike, but i'm only 17 & budget doesn't permit for a new one. That's why i'm looking for a secondhand unit . So the black chassis is a good choice ? laugh.gif

So overall, any other issues with Blade ?

Yep try to get the newer version if you can. But if not, get the old version just make sure when u buy it the engine is in good condition..

http://www.mudah.my/Naza+blade+250r-9137328.htm

a bit over ur budget, near to you though.

the issue with Blade will rise if you dont take care of it properly.. if not its thumbup.gif

EyraYus I want the R version. AFAIK you are active in Malaysian bikers blade thread rite. i've been watching all of the post all the time....

So how about the FC & the sparepart price of Blade ?

Asking you frankly, which is the better bike Blade 250R or the old ZZR 250 provided both in good condition ? laugh.gif

Not THAT active actually.

Not sure about the 250 but my 650 manage around 250km per RM30 full tank. Constant speed above 160kmj. Sparepart can be shared with a lot others Suzuki model so, provided u dont go straight to Naza to buy sparepart, its quite reasonably priced. Example, brake pad at Naza cost RM50, while we can use Suzuki brake pad for only RM10 laugh.gif Just dont expect the maintainance to be as cheap as a kapcai la kan.

Er..if you want a v-twin naked bike, the Blade, if you dont care about sound + going for long distance all the time, the ZZR.

Both different type of bike.. the Blade are more of street fighter while the ZZR a highway cruiser.

ZZR part are harder to get..

Ughh, Blader here reporting in~
Anyways, ZZR will need to have good maintenance as previously i was a ZZR user as well.
Bought the bike 2nd and broke down in less than a month.
Spit out rm3k to fix it, problem still persist.
In the end resorted to selling the bike and rugi rm3k.
Bought a new bike ady btw. A blade EFI. biggrin.gif

Really bro! so no ZZR for me lah....
Going to opt a secondhand Blade 250R.

1 thing i'm not sure. What year is the black chassis model started production ? I'm afraid that the owner might purposely paint the silver chassis to black colour, cause i've herd many bad stories about the silver one.....laugh.gif

my 2 cents

If you want commuting solution for everyday uses(urban+highway), 250 naked is a good option. Still nimble and agile as kapchai at heavy traffic gridlock, but still have enough power to shred medium at high speed motorways. All bike shaped as sports whether 150cc or 250cc and even 1000c rike R1 are not very suitable at urban or congested highway(ex. NPE, federal highway,NKVE). Even er6n or 6f also struggle at traffic gridlock.. except versys... brows.gif

If your ride is about rocketing all along highway or weekend track, the supersport segment is more suitable. Here zx-6r,yamaha-r6,zx-10r, yamaha-r1 and etc2 are the king. For example a BMW 800GS will surely struggle with zx-6r, even though zx-6r have smaller cc engine. This is because this bike is built for extreme acceleration and high speed at high rpm. Plus the aerodynamic space of supersport bike allow this kind of riding.

For riders whose enjoy breeze riding, they prefer cruiser type of bike. ex. harley, kawa vulcan, gold wing and etc2. These machine not build for rocketing acceleration but more on stability, comfort and long travel milage. You can maintain 130-150 kmh for all days on these bikes. Btw harlet shucks man.

Another type of bike is enduro-touring bike. This bike was was built to withstand abuse whether offroad or on highway. Its... rally type supermoto which annually used to compete on most gruesome and harsh route of Dakar rally. ex... BMW1200GS, KLR650 and etc2. Some says ducati multistrada fits with this category, buy personally I think, the high tech engine, gadget and electronics controlled suspension could not sustain endurance test like dakar rally.
Enduro bike is more about simplicity, trustworthy, reliability and maintainability.

Next, ppl whose still have supersport in heart, but like to go for distant tour, will appreciate the sport-touring bike. They still have torque maximum similar like supersport, but its power output is more gentle compared to supersports model. In some model, you can adjust the power output of your engine depends on your need(cruising or rocketing). Larger fairing and windshield usually come as standards and plus boxes, which geared for long travel.

Lastly, but not least, the super naked model. the super naked model can be splited into 2 section. First is medium segment, which usually comprise from 650cc to 800cc. For example the ubiquitous z750,er6n, er6f, BMW650R, yamaha fz6,fz8, cb400 and etc2. The second segment is the "SUPER" naked, usually 800cc to 10++cc, for example kawasaki z1000,zephr,suzuki b-king and etc2. These machine are more on urban assault bike, its mean you ride aggressively around town and sub-urban areas. Their look are very muscular and intimading, with plus high revving engine. These bike are capable of riding at 180km/h - 250km/h but, only if you have strong forearms and neck. It will become very uncomfortable for super naked rider at these speed.

to be continued

But yeah new bike surely less problematic then 10 year old bike thumbup.gif

It should be 2007. Go Gugel for picture, most of 07 model on black chassis.

Everything Tekno said is true, its a different class of bike, made for different purpose.

Anyway, just installed an Akrapovic end can on my 650 thumbup.gif

This question has been asked by many ppl who are buying this bike. tongue.gif So far my blade 250 clocked 70K km already, still running strong. I've seen one where the meter go past the 100k mark also, basically it all depends on ur maintainence lar, you sayang ur bike it will sayang u back. Also, its important that u know a mech or 2 to go to whenever theres problems, normal workshop potong leher one.

Btw im planning to ride to Singapore alone this fri-mon, already bought a 15 tooth front sprocket @ NKS sentul, now can cruise abit faster biggrin.gif Other than that is there anything I should prepare on the bike? Cant think of anything else ede...

I f I were u I'll never gonna trade Blade for a ZZR... Blade sounds better, ZZR sounds like kapcai. & ZZR spares is getting rare now.. Plus I've tried ZZR & cornering is not very good & frankly telling you it's ugly.... Blade engine is also new compared to zzr.. Blade is more comfortable..

Take note that blade 650 is vtwin engine. Cannot compare with inline-4 bike like zx6r, but you can compare blade with er6

once you enter big bike world, the maintenance is definitely a bit high.

Yes. As its a touring/naked bike, not a sportsbike. ZX6 produce 140HP, Blade 650 produce 80HP. Dont compare it both.

Performance, well, I`m not sure how to put it as I dont know what other bike have u ride before?

If you never get past 150cc 2stroker before, it will be too hot for you to handle, if u have ridden a normal non-sportsbike 600cc before, u will have no problem with it, if u have ridden a sportsbike 600cc above before, u will get bored after a week with the Blade.

define easy? its not abundant like kapcai, you cant simply go to any shop and ask for the parts, like other big bikes, only some shop have it. NKS Sentul, dealers, or straight to Naza.

or, as the way I do it, order straight from Korea via HyosungSource.
http://www.hyosungsource.com/

my latest order 2 days ago has already been shipped. at least 4 days to go before I have it here. Cheaper. And sometimes, faster then having Naza order any particular part from Korea. Example, oil filter for 650, NKS selling for RM60, I ordered 5 piece + 5 other small thing + shipping, total cost RM200 from Korea, if I were to buy from NKS, its RM60 X 5 : RM300.

Hiya folks. Just joining in.. Sorry for the long 1st post.. hehe

Did over 5mths research on planned bikes. Getting a 250 for now. On the list was:

ZZR
ZXR
Ninja
Blade N
Blade R
Sym Evo (gotta keep options open wink.gif )
KLX
Cruise
Virago

Being a rider for a long long time and having tested numerous bikes from 70cc to 1300cc.. Needed an upgrade from my now current nouvo LC.. After research, speaking for many foremen (and dealers) and more testing, decided on a 250 only la since budget not so big and not really gonna travel far (also my size cannot fit super big bikes)

ZZR - cheap, but too old, parts can get but not as abundant. not really on the speedy side
ZXR - superb power for the size, really nice sound but killer maintenance + expensive parts
Ninja - somehow i just don't like it.. build is good, proper power, but size & sound is a turn off
Blade N - generally blades get bad rep but almost always from the wrong people. non-owners and such
Blade R - same as above and not many shops have nowadays
Sym Evo - overall good for a scoot but then, it's a scoot.. no go
KLX - nope. not going motox-ing, so no thx
Cruise - can't find one but generally same review as blades
Virago - too old, too many problems, too heavy for the size

----------------

So, cut long story (not so) short, the general concensus was heading for the blade since it's cheap afterall. And seeing stupid negative comments on the bike are generally from word of mouth, considering actual users don't have real problems with, went shopping for one..

So, today, already got a 2nd 250n (to be shared with gf for now). Sent to shop for servicing and repainting. As for me, I've got eyes for the R. Gonna keep looking for one and if can't find.. gonna get a 650n from same shop.

But now I got a problem.. need ideas for the repainting.. shop suggest go for duc monster scheme but I think that's like ah beng-ing a wira to a lancer.. One fella said do dual color. But naked ma, mana boleh so many color fit..

Folks got ideas aa? icon_question.gif

Shop selling for 7500 cash, 8000 if installment.

A 250R 2nd nowadays goes for around 8-13k cash. Not easy to find at shops here in penang, mostly personal sell only. Asked the shop but they don't have sad.gif
So, had to settle for the N instead. If can find an R, I'll get that and my gf can have the N.. hehe

Gonna see how first. If all good, the shop also has a 650N going for 12k.. brows.gif

lol

The size and noise really is like big. Even the 250 I tested. Sounds like it's a 400 or 500 bike d.. haha

Yep, true, the R looks much better. But then I'm pretty sure the N can be modded to fit an R head & lights. I saw on korider.com an R with the side fairings removed, looks just like an N with an R head.. Gave me ideas d.. brows.gif

Anyway, good hunting bro~!
