ic, 20k+ does consider pricey since other jap's CKD 250cc are about the same price.

are the blades CKD? or they are CBU with naza vinly? i have been told they are assembled in china, not sure tho.

09' 650 is 19k? wow thats a steal! go grab one and mod it with '10 parts (tank, fairing, seats, etc) lol.

saw this from another fourm, my heart go pounding again brows.gif

As far as I know, all Naza bikes have been sold out. We'll have to wait for the new models to come in if we want to buy.

You mean the ad from Kapar Motor? I think they simply say la. How did they even know the price? Naza haven't even announced its release yet. In my opinion, they put this price up as an estimate only.

Let's just wait patiently till the bike comes out smile.gif . But I can guarantee that the price will definitely be cheaper than any other CKD bike around with the same engine capacity.

My opinion la...

250cc (naked version)
- underpowered
- low top speed (mine max at 140km/h)
- good FC
- low maintenance (some parts can use Suzuki parts)
- heavy (shares same body as 650. just can see that the engine is much smaller)
- cruises comfortably at 110km/h
- hate the stand (mine stands a bit straight so it accidentally fell over a couple of times)
- Shinko tyres that came with it not good for wet roads
- not that loud V-Twin sound (if you like V-Twin sound. It's different from your 250 Kawasaki ZXR)
- Naza parts can be quite costly but there are alternatives.

It's a 250cc bike that's low maintenance so what can your friend expect?

Recommended one of uncles to get the 650 version (which he got one 2nd hand) and he's happy with it. No problems, can keep up with the big boys. Just not-that branded compared to the big boys.

Might or might not sell mine off once I feel like upgrading (still using B2 and lazy to upgrade). Overall a nice daily town/city commute bike.

Is it a good bike? Well, IMHO it is despite its shortcomings.

initially hyosung designed a frame that can be fitted with both 250 & 650 engines, but later they found out the frame is not suitable for 650 so they made another frame for 650. and let the 250 accommodate the old frame.

thats y the 250 comet/blade has a heavy but solid chassis. 30-40kgs heavier than the other naked 250. (comet has steel frame, while jap bikes have alloy frames that are lighter).
good thing is that it feels & looks like a big bike.

me with my Blade R 250 - year 2009 ( with faring):

- my top speed can reach 170 km/h (with stock equipment) with my weight 70kg....if i change the equipment...it can go until 190 km/h - 200km/h rclxms.gif

- blade cornering is the best in it class if you upgrade the tires. (shinko tires are great when it warm or the road is dry and hot....not suitable in raining day )

- got spec of superbike 600cc - 1000cc such as dual front pump brake, high level chasis, digital meter, adjustable foot stand etc.

- sound similar to Ducati V Twin engine ( Ducati Monster bike )

- heavier and more steady ( if you get struck buy a car/ kapchai....you cant fell down easily...if you know how to maintain it laa)

- if you riding with a passenger at the back....you will look steady and balance ( compare to Kawasaki 250R...the bike is small...look funny when ride it with 2 person)

- long distance and short distance reliability ( i used my bike to go to my work place every day and once riding it to Phuket, Thailand)

- other than that its so worth to buy a Hyosung GT Comet 250 @ Blade 250R with the price of RM 20,000.

- maintenance is not so cheap and not so expensive ( of couse laa...if you want cheaper everything...go for kapchai brows.gif )

p.s: its so big until a policeman stop me because he said i got B2 license not B full for the bike.....he confuse and shock...he taught my Blade is 600cc - 1000cc bike ....hahahaha rclxm9.gif

I've tested kawa 250R last week, the power is really just normal, but is enough for me since i dont ride fast on a bike.

Now i'm dillema to choose between a 18k secondhand kawa (i think it is with yoshimura exhaust) or wait for the damn naza blade EFI (Still no news on the release date) this bike has been out of stock for 2 months already, damn it.
