I thought the xbox and now the 360 have the best controllers, but the D-Pad is rubbish. The times in GoW when it failed to switch weapons, usually from grenades to a gun were numerous and frustrating.

The xbox D-Pad was fine, surely they could have used the same one. Apart from that and the loss of wireless when the battery gets below 50%, sometimes you have to turn it back on even though it has two bars.

It is so far the best controller I have used...

I vote for xbox360 controller. I like the left analog stick. Really comfortable to play racing games compared to DS3.

I meant the analog stick for controlling the steering. The trigger is also nice.
due to this, I bought a steering wheel for the PS3 instead of xbox360. currently no budget to get steering wheel for both consoles.
