paige: starting a thread on a game and posting your friend code is a big responsibility!
Now update your post and add mine in: 3293 5626 5186 I've added you, of course! This post has been edited by nub: Jan 18 2009, 10:16 PM |

You're venturing into the realm of 5-finger fretting already! A lot of friends whom i introduced the game to tend to be scared of it and just stay on medium for a long, long time.
Don't kill your pinky on the orange notes. Rest your hand so that the index finger is on red instead of green, and let that agile finger jump up to green instead of forcing your poor little pinky to jump down to orange. |

If the controller works with GH3, it should work with RB2. My bandkit consists of a GH3 les paul, a GHWT genericaster, a GHWT drumkit, and a GH labeled usb microphone. I got the game-only RB2. if you can afford to spare rm180~, get the game. The game play leaves GHWT feeling really really bland.
Guitar tracks are still awesomer in GHWT, though! |

To be more precise, the orange cymbal acts as one of these, connected to the blue pad. It registers as the blue note hit, but makes a different sound in fills and freestyle.
I would've personally liked it if it was treated like a green cymbal expansion, makes hitting the crash more realistic, not to mention letting me use low toms in free style. |

I haven't gotten to my wii to add kalnet's code yet. I'll be back home this weekend to do that.
In the mean time, if you see me online, that's probably one of my younger brothers or sisters. Invite them to play, it wouldn't hurt; they play mostly hard/expert guitar or bass and medium/hard drums. |

1: spongebob is not rock 2: spongebob is not a band 3: the best day ever is awesome i hope they release more silly/awesome DLC like this. and perhaps bring Still Alive over for the Wii... i want to play that so bad |

Still Alive was a Rock Band 1 DLC, and since RB Wii never got DLC, Still Alive was and is still unavailable for Wii Rock Bands.

QUOTE welcome back mr koyakgami. so, we are now in sync of all 3 music games! playing drums on RB2 is not so realistic, coz of the different mapping of drums pads. its still playable if u not fussy in realisticness. But in-game, RB2 drumming is way superior. I can barely even hear my drums in GH and to be honest the snare sounds like crap, all thanks to that pressure sensitive stupidity. By the way, is it really RM110 for a single replacement cymbal? That's just ludicrous... |

yes the lukah band is mine, and i tend to leave my wii running through the night, occasionally coming to play a couple songs
QUOTE A yellow hi-hat is usually used as a hi-hat in GH, but in RB2 they use it for snare, hi-hat and sometimes even toms. So doesn't feel natural for some RB2 songs, but tolerable i guess if u just want to have fun. as for the can't barely hear the GH drums, didn't notice any difference. I have never found any songs that use the yellow note as anything but the hi-hat, but then again i only ever play a few favourites from the huge setlist. But anyway, when you're actually playing, you don't really want to swing with all your might, as soft flicks tend to be more accurate, PLUS the drumpad noise is already noisy enough with soft hits. But the thing is, GH's drums are pressure sensitive, as in you can hit harder to make it sound louder. So what this means is that you need to hit your controller like hulk in order for the in-game drums to be audible at full volume! Drum fills also sound way better in RB2. GHWT's drums sound like i'm hitting some cheap pots in the kitchen. (bonus tip: if you want to green crash instead of green tom during fills in RB2, but don't have an add-on cymbal for it or you're using the GHWT drumset, hit yellow and green at the same time) |
