Western Union is free, and much faster.

It takes a whole month for the cheque to arrive, then another whole month for the cheque to be cleared, plus you will be charged.

For Western Union, when the payment is issued, just copy the details on your AdSense account payment history to the Western Union form, bring it to the bank and instant cash. 2 months saved, plus zero charges.

Yes use WESTERN UNION - photocopy your I/C before go to CIMB or Public Bank.
You must change your payment option on your Google Adsense account.

No need to photocopy your IC before hand, the bank will do it for you.

hmm. i only have check option. Standard check or express check payment.

I think it could be my account settings which was registered for Singapore instead of Malaysia.

Any idea?

Western Union is not available in Singapore - https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/...en&answer=62329

Confirmation
You have selected Western Union Quick Cash as your form of payment. Please note that changes to your form of payment must be made by the 15th of the month to affect the current month's payment cycle.

Western Union Quick Cash payments may be picked up at your local Western Union agent. In order to pick up your payment, you will need a government issued ID that exactly matches the payee name below. Should you need to update your name, please contact us.

Important notes about Western Union Quick Cash:

Payments will be processed in USD and may be available for pick-up in local currency cash. In order to pick up a payment you will need to follow these instructions .
We cannot process Western Union payments to business payee names.
The maximum amount we can send for an individual payment is the following. If your payment exceeds this amount, you will receive multiple Western Union payments up to your total payment amount. Learn more .
I agree that I have a government issued ID that matches the contact name above.
It mentioned that my fren need to have a a government issued ID, what is that?
I was now having holiday at East Malaysia here for a month.
Can I know where can I find a bank to cash at East Msia for her at Miri here?

My fren have CIMB account, then what to do after changing her adsense payment option to Western Union?
Can you mention the steps by steps process? Any other charges?
I thought Western Union charge a lot right?
*
Government issued ID is your IC. MTCN is the number AdSense will give you when payment is issued. You can see that under My Account > Payment History. No notification if payment is issued, you have to check it for yourself. Normally it's around 26th of the month.

No need of a CIMB account or anything. Fill in the Western Union form, hand it to the banker, and she will give you the cash.

The name need to match with IC rite?
Yes, same name.

How about the payment address?
My fren using Post Office Box for the Adsense payment address, but her IC address is her home address.
Any problem then?

What to fill for the form? What the form need actually?
Got example to show?
*
I'm not sure if the address need to be matched. Mine is matched, so far no problem at all. I suppose it is better to change the address to match the IC, just in case.

You can get the form in any Western Union agents, CIMB, BSN, post office etc.

Things to fill in:
  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Your phone number
  • Sender's name (Google Inc.)
  • Sender's address
  • Amount expected ($)
  • MTCN
  • Your signature

Don't worry about that, all information will be provided (unless you don't know your own name and address, then too bad) on the payment page. Here's an example:

My fren changed the form of payment method to Setup Western Union Quick Cash *

But at the top there mentioned:
Choose Form of Payment
Please note that changes to your form of payment must be made by the 15th of the month to affect the current month's payment cycle

Any effect?

Normally when is Google send out the adsense payment?
When you fill in the Western Union form, when can you receive the payment?
*
You must change the form of payment before 15th in order to change the payment form in this month. If you change after 15th, it will only take effect the next month. Normally Google will issue payment at around 23rd to 27th, around there, it varies all the time.

After filling the Western Union form, hand it to the banker. She will process it (photostat your IC, check your payment details etc), then she will hand you the cash.

The adsense money in my fren's google adsense account will be USD100 something then around 25 to 30th smthg.
She changed the form of payment from standard cheque delivery to Western Union yesterday.
So, will the google still send the payment by cheque?

Since it mentioned,
You must change the form of payment before 15th in order to change the payment form in this month.

What to do if she want to be paid by Western Union method now?

Sorry ah goldfries, I am newbie, as I duno there are Western Union when I start this topic.

I'm guess Google will still send her a cheque, since it's too late. I'm not sure if holding payment will work in this case. Why not send the AdSense support team an email to ask them about it?
