I have posted a similar message on Hardware. As this message may have some use for the purpose of Over Clocking as well, I'm forwarding the message here.
It's about WPCREDIT, or Windows Program Control Registers EDIT
Want to know if anyone has use WPCREDIT to edit the CMOS?

WPCREDIT==Windows Program Control Registers EDIT. Lets you change the BIOS/CMOS chipset registers when your BIOS does not allow it, and thereby lets you tweak the Chipset (mostly northbridge but southbridge can often be tweaked as well) for optimum performance.
WPCREDIT can be used with most motherboards but it's a guessing game if you don't have a PCR definition file for your chipset - this defines the register names and their available tweak values.
