mcdonalds is not a toy shop .. if you want the toy, buy the happy meal set ..!

Item(s) and promotion still new in the market, doesnt justify this scalped prices. Most sellers are not even into toys, they are just depriving the real collectors and children of the happy toy.

I have seen ppl queing up but when no toy, they all disperse. Now many visit MCD for the toys...all adults. When kids arrive, no toys. Have seen young guy approaching mother to offer toy to her but a higher price...in MCD itself.

Wish MCD can able to perform miracle and flood the market with more stocks from 1st week offering as well. Flood till the resellers cry and the shildren happy.

When I saw this at MCD Kelana Jaya, I asked mgr in charge. She said customer wanted to buy, so she willing to sell. When I want to buy happy meal to get any of what is left, she said tak boleh jual..???

Just like any toy dept or TRU, insiders and VIPs are plentiful. Ebay oso have ppl selling whole set of minions.

Sebenarnya setengah outlet ada stok..simpan untuk VIP je.

who's buying it? this is the most crazy Happy Meal toys I encounter so far. Today release today sold out just in the morning only.  cry.gif
I wonder who started this hyped.

FB and internet and cheapo resellers. RM 3 to resell at RM 30.

I agree...Hello Kitty also was never this crazy...still able to buy on 2nd and 3rd day. Wait till Hello Kitty Fairy tale hits...resellers will surely target Singing Bone version to create shortage in market hence leading to ppl unable to complete set leading to desperation to buy at higher price. And to resell to Sporeans who did not manage to get it during their promotion.

Even they are using their gf(s), mommies and ah ma to go buy ice-cream to get minion toy before MCD tighten the rules of purchase.

Not all movie-themed toys will be hyped like these minions, now they are garnering popularity like angry birds.

Most of the new resellers do not have ability to read R&R. All think of selling and reaping from desperate collectors/ children. Should contact the unlucky seller, strip him and write "I SCALP MINION MCD"on him.

But we civilised...just dun buy from them. If they are genuine collectors, having a carboot full of minions wont irritate them even for years to come.

Now many sapu Minion and later resell in Myde@l/ Vii Synergy websites and others at "reduced price" of RM 59 for set of 6. Of course actual scalped price (not normal price) is higher. PAy upfront now get toys next month. Cuz likely they are using the customer monies in advance to secure no. of units to sapu.

So Abang Myde@l gets 100 orders, it will ask his minions to go lineup at various outlets to sapu up to 100 or more. They dun have ready stock available.

My experience in 3rd week.

MCD Outlet A offered three to four cartons for grabs on 1st morning. Due to overwhelming response, only four sent? Next day restock but also a handful visitors gets them.

MCD Outlet B morning no stock...few hours later got stock....then no stock...at night got stock again.

MCD Outlet C, guy in front get to buy multiples X multiples happy meal sets, reach your turn..only one per customer.

There are many scenarios we have seen and experience, its all controlled by MCD and its stores. They decide to whom, the timing and how many to sell.

Do the maths, 1st day sold out within half hour? Even a kid can tell his Ah Ma no way.
