It does have tracking number. But not sure whether it's safe or not. Haven't receive my items via E-Parcel yet.

E-Parcel is most probably by POS MAS

Yes , there is Tracking system in theri website .

But , the arrival time frame is quite long .

E-Parcel is just like Economy Class of A Flight , it is way more cheaper than others .

Yes , you can post it at POS Office , go to the counter and ask for Normal Air Parcel Slip .

Safe = Cnat be 100% Gurantee ( All courier is the same )

E-parcel is normal parcel. E-parcel is the new computerized parcel management system used by Pos Malaysia. Ahhh.. i work with it everyday.. *sigh*. It can locate the parcel progress almost like Pos Laju tracking system. As worker, there's still couple of weakness in this system n result can be a bit different if u call Pos Customer service (1-300-300-300) because they use different system.

It have two option: Seamail/surface and Airmail. If u send parcel with Pos.. everything is handled with E-parcel system.

Oh. So its like using norm post but box form. And its a system. So meaning since norm post doesn't have tracking number, this one you just add some money to get tracking number?

Is it only for big boxes or envelopes also can?

swt. Until now, the thing not arrived. Have contacted the seller since the parcel still remains in the post office where he post. Din realised that the parcel will be delivered by ship D= and takes 1 month to arrive. Since 2 weeks have past, have to wait for another 2 weeks. T.T.

Dear, just my 2 cents smile.gif
It's parcel with tracking no. Start with CDXXXXXXXXXMY. The slip title reads 'Domestik' in blue colour bar.I've posted 4 parcels to my customers, and they all receive in good conditions & slightly faster than pos daftar. No extra service charge. It's Rm2.50 for 1kg & below. Need signature of recipient.

If the one you mention is just the same as registered post. Small package they give you the normal registered post sticker but if sending big box they ask you to fill in the form. Its registered post only it's for parcel.
As for my experience using it, same delivery time as normal registered post.

I check the pos malaysia web site.
The delivery time for both pos daftar and e-parcel is the same.

So can conclude that e-parcel is just a normal registered mail I think.

oh i just posted a similar question on another thread, but this thread answers all my questions i think.

btw, don't opt for surface mail parcel if you're sending overseas (literally over the sea to a different country) because i sent a book to a buyer in sibu (i'm from PJ) and they lady at the counter said it would take about a week .. i called up and they said its 2-3 MONTHS! gah.

Nope...from my experience e-parcel is actually faster than registered post. Time taken for delivery is usually within 3-5 days depending on which area you are in. In cities usually can reach 3 days.

If you want to use e-parcel you need to fill in a form which is similar to poslaju form. Ask your nearest post office for the form if you are unsure about this.

E-parcel is actually just normal shipping method plus tracking. So if you want to send parcel using normal post the post office staff will ask you to fill in the e-parcel form. I think they are doing this since the old normal method of shipping (without tracking) got many cases of parcels lost whistling.gif

Can collect at post office. Poslaju centre will handle only poslaju delivery only. Anything else beside poslaju shipping you need to refer to your nearest post office.

E-Parcel have air and sea. By air is slightly expensive but cheaper than pos laju. Besides, u have to make sure ur customers want to use sea or air coz sea is 1-2 months time, i ever received a sea parcel in 3 weeks only. That was because i tot the seller will send it by air, but who knows she dunno there's 2 types of e-parcels. From WM to EM, recommended to use air parcel coz u really keep ur customers waiting for too long if u take parcel BIASA which is refer to SEA. bad experience as i'm from EM. Don't tell ur EM customers free postage but u post using sea. This problem arise only when a parcel is sent from WM to EM or EM to WM. Within WM, there's no parcel by sea.

Does anyone know how long it takes for a parcel from China to arrive in Malaysia by sea?

Seller told me it was posted on Dec. 18. I've called Pos Malaysia, the latest update was on Dec. 29 from Guang Zhou.

How long do i still need to wait???

I've used the tracking number they gave me to track in pos malaysia. I believe they're using e-parcel.

5. 12 March 2010 11:39:22 AM PDC Temerloh DELIVERED

I think e-parcel delivery time is 2 days within peninsula Malaysia. Mean late normal courier service one day to process.

Courier services = Today ship, next day delivery.
E-parcel = Today ship, next day process, the day after tomorrow delivery.

I'd like to ask..is E-Parcel the same as PosLaju?

The reason why I ask is because when i tracked it online, it can be tracked via E-Parcel and also Poslaju tracking system.

ha? u sure?

E-parcel is different with pos laju.. Pos laju will take 1 to 2 days to arrive but e-parcel takes around 4 to 5 days.

and e-parcel is much more cheaper than pos laju...

I never can track my e-parcel.. Every time I tracked, always no result.. but I received my items.. -.-

is your box very big? if the box is very big, they will measure the box.

if weight is more expensive than volumetric's price, they charge weight price

if volumetric's price is more expensive than weight, they charge volumetric price

volumetric weight will be used only if the size is above 30cm X 30cm X 30cm.
The formula is the volume divide by 6000. That will be the volumetric weight.

It's wrong. If it's not above 30cm, they cant charge you using volumetric weight.
You can complain and ask to see his / her supervisor.

Hi, I just sent a parcel to U.S. and because I didn't know about the e-parcel system I just told the lady at the counter to send it via registered airmail. I got the sticker here... RRXXXXXXXXXMY - will that parcel be sent via e-parcel or Pos Daftar?

Edit: Never mind, I read other forums and found out mine is via Pos Daftar (E-Parcel's tracking number begins with CD, Pos Daftar begins with R). What I'm curious about is, is one better than the other? Sounds *almost* the same to me, except if your parcel is more than 2kg you need to use E-Parcel. Anything under that will be Pos Daftar. Can a parcel under 2kg be sent using E-Parcel or is that pointless since they're both the same in terms of speed and safety? So confusing!!

Yup, u can post items under 2kg with E-parcel. The domestic rate (within peninsula) under 1kg is RM2.50.
Post register cost more, around RM3.40.
IMO, both are the same but E-parcel is cheaper. The delivery time for E-parcel is similar like reg post also.

QUOTE(gurrenlagann @ Apr 17 2010, 06:48 PM)
i wonder to know to post a bag is under pos daftar or e parcel between penisular and sarawak?
the bag is normal size as usual handbag but under 2kg
*
huh? u can choose either reg or E-parcel. E-parcel to EM is RM5.50 (under 1kg) via air. To WM is RM2.50. Register post cost more...not sure how much...
Hope this helps! smile.gif

Thanks for your information. I'm just afraid that my parcel will no update anymore. Probably the tracking for delivering to Sabah is not update frequently.
Here is my tracking CD172268386MY, the tracking number was never update since 10 Feb 2011. Just struck at "SEND ITEM TO PDC Sandakan".

Hi All,

I would like to know about E-parcel from west malaysia to east malaysia Sabah cost. I saw the web has two options - air and sea/land. air is around RM16 whereas sea/land around RM8.50. May i know how many of the business days to reach the destination by air and sea/land.

Thanks.

Last time my friend at Sarawak send to me by Air. it takes around 5 to 8 working days to arrive me. but sometimes longer. and the most frustrating thing is we never know when will receive the parcel because the tracking number is useless. They seldom update. Have to keep call the customer service and waste money.. laugh.gif

So yes it is cheaper than pos laju but it takes longer time.

depend on them.. normally they will check the same way as we check...

if it said the number does not exist.. they will say the same thing .. they are lazy to go deep in to search so we need to argue and to vmad.gif them that the tracking number is exist and its in the pos slip! then ask them to check properly

I seldom call because its useless.. waste money and time .. I will email them and attach a picture of the post slip to the email as the evidence that the tracking number does exist! Then they will reply the next day or maybe after ppl received the parcel already -.-

Wait tomorrow and see...maybe tomorrow u will receive... or u can call to 1-300-300-300 to ask about your parcel

Yes it does. The form is almost the same with pos laju. Just ask the sender to scan or take photo of the form for u. U will see prices , weight and date. And ofcourse the addresses

Hi, i'm asking for opinion to ship a stuff internationally. My item is less than 1kg. 7~800 gram perhaps. Which one is the better choice which includes tracking number and item will reach to the recipient less than 1 month? 2~3 weeks would be okay.

Thanks a lot.

If not rushing, E-Parcel or Pos Daftar is ok.. They do provide tracking number BUT the tracking number can only be track in Malaysia. Once it sent out of Malaysia, u cannot track anymore.. So its quite frustrated to keep waiting

Poslaju will be better because u can track all the way from malaysia to oversea until the receiver receive the parcel. Its faster too but expensive

Registered Pos a.k.a Pos Daftar got give Stamp. Becos the Registered post Sticker cost just few Ringgit... Then the parcel cost more than the sticker so they will add stamps. How many stamp is depend on how heavy your parcel cost.

Don't worry... Its not those snail mail.. because registered pos they give tracking number... But tracking number is useless any way since u can't track after it sent out of Malaysia laugh.gif

I would like to ask about E parcel within west msia.
Today i phoned the customer service twice but they seems to give me to different answer.
One said for all e parcel within west msia is by air only, cannot send by surface.
The other one told me the rate for parcel within west msia for by surface and by air is the same =.=

So, actually do e parcel send by surface within west msia?
And how much is the rate for sending e parcel by air or by surface within west msia?

Conclusions.

They charge both Air and surface the same price because actually they only use air.. no surface biggrin.gif Thats the only conclusions I can say after saw what they said doh.gif

U can check the rates here: http://www.pos.com.my/pos/appl/parcel_rate.asp

The rates for air and land got not much different though.. so u just follow air rates

E-Parcel tracking number cannot track for once the parcel is out of Malaysia. And The tracking number will be change after the parcel arrive at France.

For now u can only wait.

U should use Poslaju. poslaju can track all the way until receiver in france receive. and poslaju is faster than e-parcel

Wait tomorrow and see...maybe tomorrow u will receive...  or u can call to 1-300-300-300 to ask about your parcel

Registered post and e-parcel would take the same time as normal mail, so just wait lo =/ The timing now is quite random IMO. The fastest I've experienced is next day, slowest was two weeks =/ Usually takes a few days though. You should be able to track your parcel on the site btw.

O.o usually doesn't take so long one lo. They probably told you that to cover their backside la, coz if say the normal is 3 working days, but it took longer (say 7 working days) then ppl will probably get angry ma tongue.gif

I say to just keep tracking your parcel, so you know roughly when to stay home to get the parcel smile.gif If you miss the postman then you'll have to self collect at the post office =/

I think you have to use Registered post instead, as the package is so small.

Why not just check the tracking? That will save you time, effort and money than calling the post office often. If you've been waiting for only a few days, just chillax. If you've been waiting a few weeks/months d, then go call them (I've gotten parcels from overseas within a month before)

I send a package to Spain recently but not sure if its E-Parcel or not. The counter person told me Parcel only

Takes about two weeks to arrive and its cheaper to use this than just Air Mail. But Pos Malaysia says must be more than 2kg baru boleh guna. Less than 2kg, must use ordinary Air Mail

Is this E-Parcel? I cant find any info on E Parcel at Pos.com.my

That should be e-parcel. It's the same thing one lo actually. Ordinary air mail = normal snail mail, e-parcel = like snail mail, but has a tracking number that works locally.

The tracking service can be used once the post office updates the database. Usually the evening after you post out

electronicfly, do you have any experience dealing with United Kingdom Royal Mail?
I've bought hundreds of stuff from the US through USPS/Fedex/UPS and also hundreds of stuff from China & Taiwan through UPS/EMS.

But this is my first time dealing with UK Royal Mail.
The seller send the item using Royal Mail International Signed For™

He also gave a tracking number and it's trackable through Royal Mail website, but I'm not sure what's the next step once the item arrives Malaysian shores.
Thankfully, the seller wrap the item in a birthday wrapping paper, hoping that Malaysian Customs won't tax my item since it's less than RM400 anyway.

The tracking service can be used once the post office updates the database. Usually the evening after you post out

Hi, I'd like to know how it is possible for a seller to provide me a tracking number before he/she actually sends out the e-parcel. I'm assuming it's an e-parcel because the tracking number starts with CD and ends with MY.

Easy, as the number's printed on the form one. It will only be registered in Pos Malaysia's database after it's been processed by the post office.

1) I'm sorry I missed your post
2) Being a mod doesn't mean I have to answer questions that doesn't concern LYN
3) Sarcasm not appreciated by anyone you're asking a favour from
4) No I have had no experience with UK mail that is trackable
5) If you directed the question to the general LYN community, I'm sure someone would have had the experience and can answer you.

1. Arrive at home.
2. No, because the stuff I bought and shipped through CPAP & HPAP are mostly below 2 units.
3. No.

For huge quantities, I always opt for UPS, as they are the most reliable international shipping.
Fedex is not even close to what UPS can offer.
