Hi, I would like to upload a personal file to a file hosting service that only allowed certain people with PASSWORD to download it.
Meaning that in order to download the file, you need to put in the correct password. Can recommend me any good file hosting website? Must be free to upload and to download the file too. Thanks. |

i'd suggest to password protect the file instead of the hosting site.
instead of relying to 1 hosting site, try mass mirror hosting sites (aka 1 upload, multi download sites). http://www.uploadground.com http://www.rapidspread.com http://www.sharebee.com/ Single hosting sites: http://www.sendspace.com/ the suggested sites are recommend because of its clean interface, no/almost none advertisements, etc. last time, i used other hosting site with lots of p*rn advertisements. when i gave the link to my director at overseas, he told me he's almost blind with all those flashy ads! |

Medifire is best free hosting website.
If u have Windows Live ID, u can access SkyDrive to upload ur file for free. Limited to 25GB only. |

I dont think rapidshare is a good idea because, if there is no download in 90days for a particular file, auto delete.

Rapidshare is still the best.
Try to lock the file using winrar before you upload to the site. And use Rapid Uploader.exe which is available at the site in order to upload faster. |
