Hi Ying, wonder when can i get d medical card 4 Spring baby?

She did cried a lil last9... but basically doing fine. Wonder wat u guys fed her over @ urs?? Seems like she is only interested in raw meats...all d treats tat i bought over @ Fluff, she didn't even tk 1!!
Initially she even refused 2 tk barf coz i think i hv put in too much cucumber.....so i hv 2 redo it again. In order 2 test d water, i fed her a lil bit n she liked it so i put it more 4 her n tis time she rejected it again ....coz i added apple cider vinegar .......seems like yogurt is 2 her dislike too. She is quite choosy in food, other than tat she is one hell of a dog.

Ying, pls let me noe wat food eg. Safflower oil n etc. tat she likes?
Ying n Yang, i think u guys hv done a gd job in paper trained her. After a couple of accidents n reminders, she certainly noes where 2 do her b'ness now

Btw, how was d maltese gathering last9??

Robey - Mayb spring js need sometimes to adjust to d new environment... that's y she dun reli wanna eat... cos last time Mikey also like dat... I think constant monitoring is crucial at this moment... usually... within 2-3 days, shld b fine alr... dun worry so much... u got 1 hell of super cutest spring... hahaha.... lucky i was there earlier... manage to sayang spring for a while...

Tis morning i fed her barf wif her likes n tk away her dislike (x apple cider) n guess wat, 2 my surprise...she tak nak!! She took it yesterday. I figure out tat she doesn't really like 2 eat tat much leh so far...Hopefully it is js a transition period 4 her....i wil keep trying anyway. Btw, any recommendation 4 remedy in such a case? Anyone?? Pls....!! Should i starve her? Force her 2 eat? or js gv her only raw meat w/o anything else? So far she only like raw meat n now i hv trouble in feeding her heartgard 2...as she refused to eat anything other than raw meat leh! As wat i did is i mix it in her meal but not quite successful...

Heartgard? is it too early for her? cos i onli feed heartgard to mikey when he was 6 months...

Mayb u can try gif Ying or Yang a call... i think it will b d best way... cos Mikey was on kibbles during his puppyhood... n he onli haf trouble eating for abt 2-3 days since i got him... d rest of d days... he is js like hungry ghost

Robey : I agree with vb that it might be cause by the changing environment as I remember Ying n Yang said before that Spring never come out from home so she act as timid as she can in the shop that day lol

For me, I started to feed heartgard when autumn finish her 3rd jab around 3 month+ cuz at that time she's close to me already so easy to ask her to eat and also she's tham ciak girl so I have nothing to worry I will suggest to feed heartgard when she's older a bit and have confidence with ur family so she wont to scared

as for food... autumn also feeding with barf since puppy and until now I still hand feed her if i just let her eat herself sure face dirty and she's too exited so handfeed method is my training method for her not to be exited. but remember... when still puppy they will only eat smalll portion of the food compare to adult or bigger dog and also 3-4 meal per day is good as barf digestion is quiet fast. You can try to feed her small portion for 1st meal. If she ate a bit only or dun wan at all u just let her be n try few hours more maybe when she's hungry she will start to eat =]

The most important thing is let her be as comfortable as she can.. cuz new puppy need to settle them self with new house n new owner until they learn who is their family. I remember autumn will cry for the 1st day with me and will only settle down few days later.

Actually tats wat i did, i indeed hand feed her when she refuses 2 makan. I mix d raw chicken meal wif a blend of chicken liver, chicken neck, spinach, apple, carrot, cucumber. 70% of d blend r chicken liver n chicken neck. When serving i wil mix d blend (30%) wif raw chicken meat (70%) n add in fish oil n multi-vitamin as well.

my 1st made of barf is without any bone cuz I scare she kena choke.. so I only mix veggie n meat only with some liver... but I ended up buying from fluff cuz whenever I made my self I wasted more n more chicken as that time autumn just need to eat small portion so wasted lots of stuff.. and that is why i decided to take from shop better than made my own self

I certainly hope tat is d case may i noe how much u feed ur autumn now as compare to when she was a pup? U noe my Spring very yau-seng-kak 1, i did try 2 let it b n feed her a few moment later, hoping tat she wil get hungry n starts 2 eat, but it wasn't d case leh...no rite food no eat! .....a bit like my daughter la Pls let me noe how much u feed ur Autumn when she was a pup? Tq..

when she was a pup... I fed her 20 gram per meal and 2 meal per day only 1st few days 3 meal per day after that 2 meal per day

I duno if its the same with Spring but that time when I took care other pups... they will only ate 2 times of SMALL SMALL portion then full liao and also... when puppy is not feeling comfortable with their surrounding they wont eat anything and its kinda hard to force them eat... this is what I learned from Ying la cuz that time puppy dun wan to eat anything at all the whole day so need to pump the glucose water for them

well ppl said like monther like daughter, same thing happen to the lil spring hahahahaha
robey u can feed lil spring 20gm per meal, 1 pack 100gm x 4-5 meals, after 4-5month++ u can start from 40gm per meal.depants on the weight.

Ha...i think i m just worry 2 much. Actually i did notice tat some say we should measure d food according 2 d dog's current weight n other says ideal adult weight. I did ask Ying n i was told 2 abide 2 the current weight method. Once i got home n prepared d barf i find tat if i use tis method, d portion wil b very small n it cost not much @ all...so i refused 2 believe tat it is d rite method coz it was 2 gd 2 b true. . So i apply d latter....my mistake Sori guys...Ha...gd 2 noe tat i indeed did not starve her. Apology 2 Ying....should hv listen 2 u leh....ha sometimes there r some gd thing in life...v just hv 2 believe it. Tq so much 2 u n cutevb 4 ur time 2 help out bcoz of my stupidity....ha..ha...thx a lot guys.

I used to think like that too when I know that 20 gram is actually so little and how can she be full with just that amount?? when I try to add more and ended up she keep on burping I know that I had fed her too much than the portion she should have so until now I stick to the right portion of the meal each time serving cuz I made it 2 meal per day. Even though some ppl still scold me n said why I feed her just that small amount i just told them that is the correct amount to feed her...

Nothing to apologize actually cuz this is ur first time and of course lots of thing u find it to good to be true but once u know bout it sure will believe nothing is impossible

Cutevb/Muchan: can you please advise how do you take care of the puppy's eyes area? I have used the facial cotton (with the contact lens solution) to wipe , then, put some Vaseline gel around the eye area, then put some baby powder..... does it sounds right?
