last time.

difference..
same rig, but removed GC, RAM downgrade from corsair gaming to kvr, and using AMDAHCI driver instead of default Microsoft AHCI driver.

harhar.. super improvement on HDD speed. even not SSD (samsung F3 with no RAID)can reach 7.5 already. AMDAHCI for win.

Enter the BIOS, look for the Storage Configuration. Select the AHCI mode, safe config. Thats all~

Btw, I cant boot into windows after i change mine to AHCI. Need to do fresh install ka?  hmm.gif   hmm.gif

AHCI need special driver, that will be installed by default during intsllation.
(i dont really sure if you can install it on current windows installation).

where do u dload ur AMDAHCI driver?is it with catalyst?
*
included with mobo driver(but ppl rarely install it coz it is non compulsory and need to do manual install).

can download here also
http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pag..._win7-64.aspx#3
but i dont know what makes it goes around 70mb there, while actual driver supposed to be less than 1mb.

woaah...seems AHCI is complicated  rclxub.gif

not that complicated, just set your bios to AHCI, then install windows as usual.
windows will automatically set the default configuration for you.

just in case here, I find that using AMD provided driver will result on better performance compared to using the default windows auto configured driver.

how ur system capable of getting high score on disc data rate ? notworthy.gif

No extra setting. just little OC (just around 2-3% only), and AHCI driver is using AMDAHCI instead of default Microsoft AHCI.
other than that is as stated on my spec.
my HDD is single Samsung F3 1TB, and South bridge is AMD SB710.
