Guys, i found this thread from i p m a r t - f o r u m, they have very good guide on the GarminXT installation, and keymap for the VirtualKey is done already. I'm in the midst of downloading the various files, will try in a few minutes later. Will let you know if it works... smile.gif

My lunch time is so much more fun now rclxm9.gif as I can watch movies/dramas on my phone in the cafeteria/restaurant while I'm eating, and this usually draws some attention tongue.gif

5800 using browser = lose to iPhone, but not by TOO much... Will only hang on sites that are TOO flash heavy (youtube desktop front page, for one)... biggrin.gif

GPS = a bit slow at locking on, but otherwise no hang... hmm.gif
*
Slow? No eh. At my area here (Cheras Batu 3 1/2) can lock in less than 15 seconds (A-GPS disabled), much much faster than the Garmin Nuvi I borrowed from my boss. flex.gif

rclxm9.gif i have successfully DIY my speaker!!!

happy nia.

i encountered the low / unclear speaker sound these few days.
but i got no time to send in for warranty, so i thought of give it a try.
thanks to the guidelines and youtube videos on the front page!!!

you guys rocks!!!  wub.gif

damn, sweaty palms when i try to korek open the front lit.
phew, i can understand your feeling now, jye'n!

i think the trick is the bending parts.  hmm.gif
i bend it according to this photo (omg what camera are you using, the earpiece so damn small, gonna have a good zooming camera in order to capture this photo)

once bend it up, the speaker now is crystal clear  thumbup.gif

Glad to hear the guide served you well. nod.gif I used only normal PnS camera la, I dun have monstrous lens tongue.gif

By the way, finally last night I managed to have GarminXT works on my Tube with the guide on 1st page. Really tedious, but worth it. Somehow, it's not really convenient to use while driving (which is not recommended anyway due to safety issue), as you have to deal with the hard keys, Camera buttons... I installed for fun while waiting for the real thing to release.

I think we're supposed to set our destination before we start driving after that leave it to guide. It'll be too bothersome to change settings midway while driving unless we stop. Anyways until something better comes along in future, this is about as good as it gets. BTW what maps are you using?

I'm using Malsingmaps smile.gif
