Anybody experiencing lag/sync prob after some time watching a video with an encoded bitrate of 1500 and above (Using HandBrake here). I have no prob playing 1200 bitrate converted videos but higher quality ones will lag in the middle of the video sometimes. Need some verification here.

IMO, 1200 and 1500 can see a big difference if you're really going for quality. However I'm trying to achieve the optimum. I've tried to encode a 100% constant quality video of 6 mins. File is 400MB+ and my source if from a DVD ISO (BoA Concert). Copied to my microSD and played the vid on my TUBE. GG can't play at all, too laggy. My theory is that the 128mb internal RAM/the TUBE processor can't support such a high quality file. I think 1500 and below would be the best setup.

It's good to know that some of us are experiencing the same problem. Perhaps we can share more once we experiment with diff settings for optimum quality possible for our TUBE.

760mb I'm guessing it's a movie? I realized that large file encode may cause lag in video playing. Prolly due to the TUBE's capacity/performance. Try to re-encode the file in lower bitrate say 1000 and see weather it still lags. I tried experimenting on different bitrates for different files and it does make a difference on the lagness. Higher bitrate = lag , slightly lower bitrate for the same file = smooth.


You need to open up your cover at the back of your phone. The only hole is for the purpose of slotting in the strap through the hole, after that it's all common sense.

Anybody tried converting mkv and mpg files to mp4 using HandBrake? It doesn't work for me. So far DVD .ISO, .avi, .ts no prob.

Any suggestions for free converters out there?

I tried converting .mkv Promotional Videos using Allok. Works perfectly. Trying to convert .mkv Animes now.

300MB took me 20 mins or less.

Seriously no point asking post by post the phone's specifications and performance. We users can only give you a glimpse of what the phone is like till a certain extent. Just go to a phone shop and try it out yourself. Ipoh is a large town. Go and have a feel on the phone and you'll be able to make your own judgment.

I've been using my Red Tube for a week (avaxx set). No problems whatsoever.

To my surprise, it's really not bad after all. To be honest, as an audiophile I'm really impressed because I've never own a Nokia XM before and I don't usually trust any phone sound quality be it SE or others. I can give two thumbs up for this.
