Just ignore , got a cell recently as well from them.

They asked me for credit card/debit card number , just say - I dont use debit/credit card it would be better for me to get documentation black and white to be faxed or sent to my home which they never did.

Just ignore , it could be true. If its true , I would expect Telekom to notify its customers via e-mail or via mail. When asked them is there any way to contact them back , they said no.

Hi. Just got the same phone call from TM offering insurance 30K for 6 months as a royalty program for being Streamyx subscriber. She said free, and I ask do I need to give you my credit card number? coz now so many scam maa, she said NO. She just want my email. So, what the heck, just gave my email. I said why u wanna my email, she said she will email me the policy. Then, she ask me about me and my wife occupation. Well, nothing fishy still, so, just give the info, and then I just wanna hang up saying that I have other things to do and waiting for the email first. Luckily for me she did not insists offering other packages or digging more info about me.

Then, after 1 hour, I checked my email, nothing from them. So I googled the info about it and land here. At the same time, I oso called 100. Asking about this and they verified that the call is from TM staff. I said the person promised me to email the policy, why I still did not receive the policy, is it so damn hard to just email. The CS told me I will receive the epolicy in 24 hours. Still waiting, 23 hours to go. Hahahaha

i got it just now!!! but i din giv him my credit card no. but when he said the policy i just say ah, ya. Then until the end he ask me is my adress the same, i told him im not the person he called. Then he ask what is my name then i gave him a hehahaha laugh LOL. then put down OTL. Do i still end up accepting the plan..i noe the number is 0320371333.

1. ask the person's name, and his/her credit card number as well.
2. never agree on any insurance policy over a phone. always insist black and white agreement, then decide to take or not.
3. if they can't provide 1 and 2 above, then tell them kthxbye.fu.

if really AIA BERHAD, then probably they buy the contact from streamyx...

then make it into one of their special services ..

ie : since your a streamyx subscriber for more than 1 year, we could offer you up a plan for streamyx subscriber oni. i work in telemarketing before.

in telemarketing, you can't simply choose one number and say you wan to sell your product. This totally waste of time. However, there is an increase of chance if you notified the customer, what they had done until they can get such offer. Thus ,when they say,'' your a streamyx subscriber '' , it straight away answer the doubt of '' why you call me, no other ppl to call d izit '' something like tat
