Anyway airasia and AIG terminated their contract, it must be a scam.
Airasia is now with MPIB for their insurance.

the rep called me again, and i enrolled the AIG thing, and will see what's the big deal since it's not really big money to spend every month (and they said won't increase the fee according to age). anyway i got the rep's name, service hotline as well as HQ phone number, doesn't seems to smell fishy.
if anything happened i'll report here to warn others. |

Just get called 430pm, call from TM streamyx, ask to sign so called good offer insurance plan AIG also, rm 28 per month, she will tell you the benefits.. blah..+ .. end will ask you prefer send the policy to your house or office. i had never say yes to her. they trying to force you to take up, if you sound not so interested, they will ask why why why x100.
Mine advise to all if you want to sign up insurance plan, the most important is you must look for a good agent which full time in this business, and the service must be good, never sign up with part time agent (friends), you are going to continue pay 10year+ even 20 years later. if anythings happen, who will give neccesarry service? change agent every 2 years? better ignore those so call offer from phone, as rm28x12 = rm 336 per year is not really cheap. |

QUOTE(little ice @ Jan 15 2009, 11:07 PM) ok, i received a call from streamyx and saying that i can apply for personal insurance for very low price per month and the offer was quite good for a layman (i never apply before). My too, I found out what company was that, click my siggy about the AIG.but i also need to give out my credit card number because the rep asked right on the spot. suddenly i realize why should i provide my card number without even having a clear idea of what it is all about, at least some black and white paper or website? so i said i forgot the number during telling the number halfway and the card is not with me (which is true also). some more the phone number is "private no" so i can't even confirm who's calling. but the rep do have my correct address registered under streamyx account. i was told that it's only available for customers who subsribed streamyx for more than a year. anyone receive similar call? |

QUOTE(little ice @ Jan 15 2009, 11:39 PM) i've done some research just now, apparently Streamyx and AIG are partners, no doubt. I called Streamyx, apparently they did not said that they are partners. They said they got nothing to do with the company.but why must debit/credit card? weird. Added on June 10, 2009, 11:30 am QUOTE(little ice @ Jan 16 2009, 10:19 AM) ok i guess it's not some kind of special offer anyway. i believe my parents alaready signed me up some insurance too. guess i better reject it lol. good decisionAdded on June 10, 2009, 11:32 am QUOTE(smartrabbit @ May 13 2009, 12:15 PM) yeah.. i think its genuine.. only as low as rm28 per month.. QUOTE(choonsyen @ Aug 20 2009, 11:52 PM) Please dont mislead other ppl when u know nothing. I already subscribed it for 4 months and I read clearly about the E-policy. Nothing fishy, unless E-policy is not valid? It clearly listed that master policy is Telekom Malaysia Berhad and I'm policy owner and the sales representative's name.Well, I cant comment on their claim service. i got this call also... a month ago i think, dont simply give ur credit/debit card no to any1 before u see the black & white.if its really genuine, ask them to send u the policy 1st.
even if u want to give ur credit/debit card no, remember the NO TO GIVE the last 3 code printed at the back on any situation. NEVER give it to anyone else. This post has been edited by cheebc: May 29 2010, 10:21 PM |

TMNet is at it again. I have been receiving calls from some Telemarketing guys asking me to sign up an AIA Insurance policy designe specifically for TMNet customers.
As usual, no brochures or agreements to confirm what the telemarketing guys has promised and I just have to give them my credit card no. and the policy is enforced. From the phone, the policy sounds good, but there is nothing in writing to confirm. Any one of you has experience this? Pls give me a reply. rlim |
