Is Yamaha C70 a classical guitar or an acoustic guitar? I just bought it today with a box and it says " Acoustic Guitar ". But my friends claim that it's a classical, so which one is true?

the term acoustic guitar means guitar that can played acoustically(without pickup)....therefore classical guitar, flamenco guitar, steel string guitars or folk guitar are all consider acoustic guitar...

ya but locally people often relate nylon strings guitar as "classical guitar" and steel strings as "acoustic guitar" lol.

ReeveX was right. as long as it can be played without any need of electric current, it's an acoustic instrument, which the sound is generated by natural vibration and moving air.
